Hey guys and gals!

I need help.

I'm a PC gamer, and my 20 year old brother is an Xbox gamer. I want to get him something cool for Christmas this year (under $50) and could use some help. Suggestions?

Does he have a wireless controller? If so, then maybe a Gift Cert. at GameStop or Best Buy so he can pick out a new game.

He has two wireless controllers. Gift card would totally work.

One of those subscription cards to Xbox Live? I think it's called an Xbox Live Gold account or something like that...

I'd agree with a gift card of some sort. It's tough to know what games they have or are getting between now and then or what they even need. Tons of cool stuff out there, but gamers are usually specific about what they like.

as an xbox player myself, if you don't know what he already has, best to get him a gift card. you could get him a wireless headset though, or a memory expansion.

Was thinking of this, too, because gamers tend to know what they're looking forward to that's coming out, and if he didn't tell you, how can you possibly guess? GameStop is great for used games, too, in case there was always some game he wanted but never got around to buying or so he can buy several games instead of just one.
  • Get them a Ps3 so they are not sad any more over red rings of death.

A second Xbox. That way he can hack the first one but still be able to use Xbox live.

I work in the electronics department of a store. The number one sellers for xbox are-

    Modern Warfare 3

    Skyrium

    Battlefield 3

    At least for the boys!

Hopefully that helps, xbox points you can never go wrong with. :)

I know he has MW3. I LOVE Skyrim. I have it for PC, and it is wonderful. I don't think he has that one yet. I'll have to ask if someone else is getting it for him though.

Gamestop's magazine comes with membership in their Rewards club. It comes with a card that gives 10% off on all used games and stuff. The card pays for itself as soon as you buy a few used games. Their policies on this are great. It's only like $15. you could do that and a giftcard. My boys have always appreciated it. Hell, so have I.

Gamestop gift certificate. Kinects are dangerous, because hardcore gamers have no interest in them. Possibly a gift certificate to gamefly. Im a steam user, so dont know a ton about xbox specifically
  • Without knowing what games he has, but knowing which ones I have picked up and enjoy, I'd recommend Arkham Asylum and Dead Island. Batman and zombies. I'd imagine both would be well under $50 during the Christmas season.

My boyfriend has the XBOX 360, and he is always in desperate need of batteries, haha. Especially since he bought me a Wii for my birthday, our supply of batteries is almost gone! We were using rechargeable ones, but his rechargeable ones are suuuper old and only hold a charge for a very short time, which is annoying. Perhaps maybe some batteries, or a charger with rechargeable batteries? Not sure how much the charger with batteries is, but if there's enough left over, maybe a gift card to make it up to $50.

A gaming headset like tritton, turtle beach, ect!
  • How about a subscription to one of those movie/game rental places. That way he can try different games without having to buy them.

Rechargeable batteries or a Play and Charge kit for his controllers... Unless he has them of course! I know how frustrating it is when you run out of batteries!!!

Other than that I would say a gift card. If he's anything like my boyfriend, he'll have bought all the games that have come out recently that he wanted leaving nothing to get him for Christmas(which is annoy when you don't know what else to get them!). At least with a gift card he can save it for after Christmas and get a new game with it then.
