About the opposite sex that they probably don't realize about themselves.

I notice that when a guy talks to a guy buddy on the phone they call each other "man" a lot more the usual.

My ex used to stand up a little straighter if another guy around him was taller. I do the same thing but only to people I'm actually taller than - there aren't that many!

I hung out with a bunch of guys who lived together last year, and noticed that they were always calling each other "big guy." I asked why they did that, and they didn't even realize what I was talking about at first.
[Of course then, after I'd pointed it out to them, they started calling each other "little guy" instead, just to diss each other. LoL]

They often hold double standards so obvious and comical, you'd think they're doing it intentionally.

 Absolutely. My wife and I were friends with another couple and we would do weekend stuff together...flea markets, car shows, etc. We would pick them up usually around 7:30am or so, and us guys would generally say "good morning" and "ready to go?". That's enough at that hour. After the first few car rides where especially his wife would just chatter away about utter nonsense we came up with a 'No Talking' rule before 9:00am.
