Meeting your carb intake {Primal/Paleo}

I'm currently reading my way through the Primal Blueprint so I'm not completely where I need to be just yet. However the guild line seems to be that you eat when your hungry, which is fine because I do that anyways, but also to keep your carb intake between 50g to 100g per day for weight loss. My problem is that there are times where I really struggle to even meet the 50g per day. Was wondering if anyone else was having this problem of not eating enough in one day and if it's okay not to meet it every single day.
Cheers

    I assume it's ok to be under, just not too over. If you're trying to get more carbs in, make sure you're doing it the healthy way! Try fruits and vegetables as well as whole grains.

    well the less carbs, the more fat loss, the more you are in ketosis. So your body is using fat for fuel and not carbohydrates which equals fat loss not lean muscle mass

    It's OK to be under but for weight loss, the recommendation is to stay between 50 and 100. I'm frequently under the 50 mark and don't worry about it.
  • Don't kow those particular diets too well, but in general on low-carb diets, the less carbs the better and the more fat you will lose - it won't make you more hungry, keeping in mind its a good idea to keep up your intake of nutrients from green veg, low sugar fruit and other natural food rather than grains (whole or otherwise).
  • The whole idea of Primal/ Paleo is to limit your grains and such. You eat all kinds of vegetables and fruit and no GMO foods. I was just wondering about meeting the carb intake of 50g to 100g for weight loss because any lower and you can send your body into ketosis, which is okay for a short period of time, but what happens if a few days a week this is happening on a regular basis.
  • Pfft, I'm constantly in Ketosis.. Have been for like 12 months.

    Carb load like 1 - 2 days per week to kick start the ol' metabolism and your good.
  • but all grains do is sky rocket your blood sugar and I don't like doing that... but hey if your not dead I guess it doesn't hurt to do it that way ahah.
