  • haha, I thought the same ShakyBabe until I realised it's Thanksgiving over the pond and they're all pigging out to celebrate. I was thinking "Blimey! I had a carton of soup at about 280 calories for lunch at work, what's going on with these people?!" Then the penny dropped, they don't do this every day!

Haven't had it yet, but I estimated it to be around 1500 calories, including dessert. But it's the only meal I am eating today.

Im at 1287 for the day so far. I have been working today so that has kept me from over eating too much. Thank goodness. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Jeez I thought idea of a diet was to reduce amount of calories you ate a day! I'm surprised so many have said over 1,000 for one meal..that's most of my whole days allowance!

My breakfast is usually under 300, lunch around same and dinner I don't go over 500. Drinks is about 3 cups of tea and water the rest of day, sometimes I make it over 1200 cals if I have a treat but only on days I exercised too.

In the US it is Thanksgiving, AKA the day to wear elastic pants and hope you don't pop them.

    466 including pie!
  • Haven't had it yet - Since I'm doing all the cooking I already have it logged. Grand total of 860 (that's mostly Mashed Potaoes - my favorite food of all time) . I'll have the same dessert I have every night and that's only 105 calories.

1043....wow!!! I asked my hubby how I was going to eat dinner with only 300 calories and he said I wasn't. Since I started 105 days ago I've only gone over once! But I just found out my MIL is in the hospital and that there is a treadmill in her room and we are staying here....soooo hopping on that tonight since I'm not getting to the gym until tomorrow!!! I might actually not go over!!!

I'm not sure, but between lunch and dinner I'm around 2,400 calories! Holy moly! I did run this morning to give myself some extra calories, but I was still over by about A LOT! LOL and I don't even care. I was going to take the dog for a walk tonight and work off some more calories, but I pretty much can't move at this point.....and again, I don't care!

Tomorrow I'm sure looking over my food diary will make me feel sick enough to work out extra hard and get back on track.
  • LOL. Wayyyy toooo much! It was just one day though and I made it to my Thanksgiving goal ahead of time. I'm letting myself off the hook and will get back to it tomorrow. I am now on to my Christmas goal (my end goal!!!). After that, its just maintenance :).

Up to 2,000 for the day, and that's before evening drinks and dessert. The way I see it, if you can't cheat, why try? But for those of you who actually didn't cheat today, mad props.

hahahaha...i was wondering why ALL of your lunches were so super high in calories!!...and then i remembered its thanksgiving for you guys!! LOL...hope your all having a great day :)
  • mine was 800, which was all thanks to my grandma's homemade mulberry pie. I ate like a pigeon with the main course and ran a mile and walked the dog 5 miles so i could eat my grandma's pie without guilt. I believe that piece was around 350-400 calories but it was worth every bite. It also helped that im a vegan so i only had veggies, legumes and my vegan ribs.

My Tday dinner was about 1500 and that included dessert. I controlled myself pretty well during the day and I did a level of Ripped in 30 and ran for an hour outside (lovely day in MN today) before dinner.

I don't really eat "lunch". I have 2 meals a day. My second meal was 900 and something. Close to 1000.

Just over 1400 with dessert. I did not cook today. We actually went out to eat to Cracker Barrel. They don't provide nutritional information so I looked up similar recipes or whatever to figure it out. I am full but not overly! I walked before we went and I am seriously considering another walk now at 7:15pm! I am over by about 100 calories today. Not bad, really!

If I would have cooked, we would have had healthier choices but it was good and I did not have to cook or clean up! YAY!

I ate over a pound of turkey...I feel stuffed and gluttonous...Yet I only managed to go over by 150 today. The corn destroyed my carb benchmark though. ;[

I didnt log today but I KNOW it was really high in calories. I actually had a stomach ache when I was done because my body wasnt use to eating so much in one sitting! Back on track tomorrow!!
  • Estimating about 1,300.. and the rest of my day was probably like 2000. :/ good thing I didn't log because knowing the exact number would just depress me. good thing it's only once a year.
  • 430 calories
I guess that's one good thing about not having a close family and not going back home for Thanksgiving is I can still keep it healthy. But enjoy everybody, one day off your diet won't hurt, it will actually be good for your metabolism.

1024. I heard today that an average Thanksgiving dinner is around 3000 cals, so I think we're doing great!
