Leslie claims that her walks (depending on the one you are doing) rate at about 4mph (some 5mph) but I know I cannot walk 5mph and only barely 4mph- her 4mph walks feel about 3.5 mph in comparative intensity for me so, when i am not wearing my heart rate monitor, I count them as walking, 3.5mph either that or low impact aerobics
  • I count her workouts as low impact aerobics as well.
  • I count her walkouts as the mph she states they are. Her walks involve more than just walking so they should use more calories than simply walking a normal pace. They are great. I started my weight loss journey with walking. I think I did best then. Now I am doing 60 minutes on elliptical and zumba for cardiovascular exercises. I have 60 pounds since June 1. What a difference that has made in my life!! I have also replaced one meal with a nutritious shake.
