So far, I have lost about 60, it's hard to tell exactly because at my heaviest I wasn't a fan of the scale. Did I take a miracle drug or rely on a fad diet? No, I didn't. Throughout my journey, I have messed up, made mistakes, slept through workouts, ate healthy, chose things for my body that provide fuel and nutrients over cheeseburgers, and learned things about nutrition and fitness that were previously foreign to me. I have been frustrated, proud, happy, and depressed throughout my journey, sometimes all in one day. One day I will feel beautiful and healthy, and the next I will feel frustrated and stagnant with my progress.
My point here is that weight loss is tough. It has ups and downs, and occasionally you have to remind yourself that messing up isn't the end of the world....but giving up entirely is. Did I always make the healthiest decisions? No. But I haven't given up, This whole thing has been a learning process and I am a wildly different person than I used to be. Perfect? No. But what fun is that, anyway.
This was me at my heaviest weight exactly a year ago.
This is me a year later and 60 pounds thinner. (With a dirty mirror, hehe)

Every single day is a struggle for all of us. Even when we think we have it licked along comes Thanksgiving and parties and donuts in the break room!! I'm trying so hard to do what is necessary to get rid of the weight that belongs to someone else, I'm sure. I recenlty fell off and gave up. Wanna know why? Because I worked out really hard, dieted really well, went 2 weeks without weighing myself just so that there would be a great marked improvement in my weight loss. And then the scale told me after all that hard work and denial I lost one stinking pound!!
I was so mad I went on an eating spree. I left MFP for a few weeks and gave up on myself. But I'm back and I'm committed. Thank you for your encouragement and I am so proud of your weight loss and I know that I can do this as well. :bigsmile:0
