If you're gonna eat peanut butter, eat peanut butter girl!! There are some natural ones out there that don't have added sugar and such. If you're concerned about the calories, eat 1 TBSP instead of the serving size of 2 TBSP. Don't look for "low cal" as those will be altered with stuff you really don't want. Eat real food and enjoy!! :flowerforyou: How ya gonna eat it??0

why does it have to be low cal? low cal means its been tampered with by MAN and that is usually not a good thing
get all natural penaut butter without added sugar
Laura Scudder's makes some good peanut nutter
focus on ingredients not always on calorie numbers0 -

Peanut butter has HEALTHY fat - good for you. You don't really want the altered stuff. You don't need to go overboard, but natural is always better.0 -
ok...I guess I need to say...lower cal/healthier peanut butter0

How ya gonna eat it??
umm....celery, apples, spoon, finger.........right now, the little bit that I am squeezing in is not cutting my craving0 -
Peanut butter is your friend...just don't eat too much!
There is a lower cal one that hungry girl likes, it is call 'better'n peanut butter' I believe. Has about 50 cal per tbsp0 -

1 or 2 TBSPs of good old fashioned Creamy JIF isnt going to hurt you!!!! Just dont eat the whole thing!!!!

I keep a jar of Kirkland's Organic Creamy by my side constantly at work. Sometimes I dip apples and veggies, etc. But most often I'll just run to the kitchen, pick up a tablespoon, scoop and enjoy.
It's simultaneously healthy, indulgent, AND satisfying. Can't beat that!0 -
Just finished my FAVORITE snack: 1 tbs all natural PB and a medium Braeburn apple!!! As others have said, EAT your PB but get the natural kind- Smuckers makes a good one. 1 tbs is only about 90 cals. You CAN have that in your diet- note: diet as a term to describe what one eats, not a temporary eating style.

I love peanut butter, and sadly the only one I found that has a little less calories that still tastes fantastic is Skippy Natural, or if you like Jiff try simply Jiff. I tend to eat way too much if I don't make something with it in it like a smoothie, so I usually have a chunky monkey smoothie
1 scoop chocolate protein powder/ or 1 packet of no sugar added hot chocolate
1 cup fat free milk
2 tbs oatmeal
1 tbs peanut butter
1 whole banana
Ice
Blend it all together and its super duper yummy, and satisfies my peanut butter craving and makes an amazing breakfast or other meal replacement.
Its 440 calories max if you use the protein powder, but I will cut out calories by only adding half a banana, 1 tbs of oatmeal, and use the hot chocolate instead of the protein powder, or half the amount of protein powder. That cuts out 130 calories.0 -
I LOVE peanut butter. But I get that it can be a guilty pleasure when eaten in excess. So when I truly want it, I just scoop it up and eat it straight off the spoon! It gives me satisfaction to know I'm skipping out on the carbs that would come with bread or crackers.
And don't stress yourself over it. The longer you resist (or alter) these cravings, the closer you come to breaking down entirely. And I'm speaking from experience. It's peanut butter. Not some kind of cray dessert.0 -
Research states that eating one serving of peanut butter five times a week decreases the rick of heart attacks by 50%. Consuming peanut butter can also reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes by 25%. The fats in nuts actually lower your cholesterol levels and are quite good for you. (My guess is the lower fat varieties of peanut butter will not do this). So enjoy your peanut butter knowing that you are doing your health some good.0

nope
as shown above the low fat peanut butters have added sugar and the hydro oils plus other junk
it really is important to read labels....low fat almost always mean they added man made junk
be careful0 -

I bought Walden Farms peanut flavor spread. No calories, no fat, no nothing. It was about the worst thing I ever tried. Big waste of about $4.0

Adam's is good natural peanut butter. Once you mix the oil in, keep it in the fridge & nuke 10seconds to soften when you want to use it (the oil separates at room temp)0

Skippy natural is delicious!!!!!
Skippy Natural is not all that Natural.................Here is an article regarding how misleading the name is. Natural Nut Butters should only have 2 ingredients: nuts and salt.........
Skippy Natural has Palm Oil and Sugar added to the peanuts and salt.
I also love other nut butters too. Cashew butter, almond butter, macadamia nut butter, etc.........it is good with apples, carrots, celery, off the spoon.....

By E Harmon
Skippy Natural Peanut Butter has a slightly misleading product name; however, Skippy Natural is hands-down the best "natural" peanut butter I have tasted. Here are the pros and cons of Skippy Natural Peanut Butter.
Cons. Since I think that the pros outweigh the cons of Skippy Natural Peanut Butter I will start with the cons.
§ Misleading Name: The biggest con of Skippy Natural is that the product name is a bit misleading. While Skippy Natural is indeed more natural than many peanut butters on the market, it is not what consumers have come to know as natural peanut butter. A natural peanut butter has only one ingredient: peanuts. Skippy Natural Peanut Butter actually has four ingredients: peanuts, sugar, palm oil, and salt. While the ingredients in Skippy Natural Peanut Butter are just that, natural, they are still a bit misleading to consumers.
§ Sugar Content. Most natural peanut butters have no added sugar so a two tablespoon service has just one gram of sugar in it. Skippy Natural Peanut Butter does have some added sugar so you actually get 3 grams of sugar per serving. While this is still not a huge amount of sugar, it is comparable to regular non-natural peanut butter brands.
Pros. As I said before, the pros of Skippy Natural Peanut Butter outweigh the cons by a long shot which is I why I really believe it is the best natural peanut butter you can buy.
§ Taste. The taste of Skippy Natural Peanut Butter is wonderful. It has the delicious roasted peanut flavor of natural peanut butters, but still the slightly sweet flavor of classic peanut butter.
§ Texture. Skippy Natural Peanut Butter is smooth and creamy in texture. Unlike many natural peanut butters, there is no need to stir Skippy Natural Peanut Butter to recombine the oils before spreading.
§ Shelf Stability. Skippy Natural Peanut Butter can be kept on the shelf like classic peanut butter whereas many natural peanut butter brands must be kept in the refrigerator. Refrigeration makes the peanut butter more difficult to spread and it is not as tasty when cold.
§ Price. You won't pay any more for Skippy Natural Peanut Butter than you would pay for any other peanut butter. Most other natural brands are quite a bit more expensive.
§ Natural Ingredients. Although Skippy Natural Peanut Butter may not be as completely natural as some other natural peanut butter brands, it does still have natural ingredients. There are no hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils in Skippy Natural and there is no high fructose corn syrup. The ingredients are natural and simple.0 -

Have you tried PB2 - Powdered Peanut Butter & Chocolate Peanut Butter?
It's basically dehydrated peanut butter - chemical free of course. Its great! I LOVE PB and AB and pretty much every nut butter out there. I sometimes will use this in place of PB if I want to limit my calories etc. 2tbsp of this stuff has approx 55 cals.

I my peanut butter! I just picked up more at the store today!
Ingredients: Peanuts, salt.
I love all peanut butter but the salted ones are nice escpecially if you are used to the processed/hydrogentated ones.
Anyone ever have the organic valencia peanut butter ...they mix the red skins and all in it... HEAVEN!!
Put it with some Lindt 85% cocoa chocolate and you won't miss a Reeses PB cup! :happy:0
