I've started using a combination of apple cider vinegar, water and witch hazel as a toner. I mix it all in one bottle and apply. It's cheap, natural and it works. Also, burt's bees garden tomato facial soap. For pimples I used AcneFree Terminator spot treatment overnight. It's like 10% peroxide which I'm sure is terrible for my skin but it does the job when needed.0

helps w/ what in particular?0 -
Sea salt works great as an exfoliater with some honey.. Since it's salt and that sucks water make sure to apply a moisturizer.. I'm a big fan of philosophy.. Its kinda expensive, but you only have to use the smallest amount.. I've had the same bottle for about 6 months, and I use it once a day if not twice.. Water is really the best thing for your skin.. I drink A LOT, and rarely ever have break outs anymore.. I also use clean & clear persa gel 10 for spot treatments, and Aveno for moisturizer. I'm HUGE on skin care lol0

It works the same way another toner would but won't over-dry your skin or strip it of it's natural balance. (Toners work to control oil, minimize pores, reduce breakouts)0 -

Thanks, but what I meant was, have you seen a noticeable improvement in one area particularly?0 -
I just started using honey as a cleanser last night and already notice a difference in my skin. It's softer, brighter etc. Just good old fashioned honey you find at the grocery store.
I also drink cucumber lemon water like the kind they have at the spa. Idk if it actually does anything, but it's yummy and makes me feel refreshed.0 -
There's nothing you can really do to shrink pore size (that I know of), but BioOil is supposed to be good for stretch marks (reduce, not erase) when used consistently. There are TONS of natural beauty secrets in books out there. Try looking at your local library/library catalogue online and see if they have some that appeal to you. Look at online reviews for them. Or even google "natural beauty cures/secrets".0

patchy skin under the eyes could be a sign of an allergy or food sensitivity. I recommend going to a naturopathic doctor who can test you for food SENSITIVITIES (will NOT show up in an allergy test, and mine are really severe!). Or you can do an elimination diet, and stop eating common allergens for a few weeks, and see if your skin issues go away. Common allergens: milk, wheat, soy, corn, etc. Do them one at a time.0 -
apple juice mixed with witch hazel is great before bed...it acts almost like a toner, but doesn't destroy your skin. Light skin cream in the morning and heavy cream at night...steam your face to open your pores and then wash with a non-abrasive soap to clean your face...um...that's all I got...make sure you wash your face every single night before bed because make-up does serious damage over time (looks like you have bags? nope it's just years worth of eyeliner and mascara embedded in your skin from not washing regularly). Yeah that's all I've got. As I get older, my skin gets worse.0

oh yes mix the honey with oatmeal and it's a natural exfoliator that doesn't harm the ocean (anyone see plastic inc?)0 -
One of the greatest products I have found lately is Loreal Studio Secrets Primer. I have very large pores, combination skin, and sensitive skin and this has made it to where I do not have to wear makeup! It covers my imperfections and makes my pores look significantly smaller without breaking me out! And a little bit of it goes a long way... I LOVE IT!0

Great tip! I'll try it tonight. It's amazing, I've tried every cleanser, cream, strips in the book to help reverse all the damage I did to my skin as a teen (HEAVY makeup and picking at it) but nothing has really worked as well as honey.0 -

Bio oil is really good. But you absolutely have to be consistent with using it.
It will not get rid of pimple though. But helps with the scars.0 -

I absolutely have to correct you so that others don't get misinformed. What you eat has NOTHING to do with pimples. That's a total myth!0 -

I've heard great things about this primer as well. My friend swears by it. But for me, I break out in pimples all over my face when I use it. Depends on your skin type.0 -
I highly recommend the Aspirin mask for acne prone skin. Cheap and simple to make, very effective.
Dissolve about 8 uncoated aspirin in a few drops of hot water, enough to make a paste to spread over your face..you can add a squeeze of aloe gel or honey if your skin is dry. Apply and let dry. Rinse off with water but scrub a little while you are at it for exfoliation. Fresh, glowing skin! You can also google for variations or recipes0 -

Thanks everyone! I'm excited to try some of these out!0

I got a Clarisonic and it cleared up my skin like whoa! And because it gives such a deep clean my pores are smaller and the exfoliation helps with uneven skin tone. I also use a clay mask a few times a week (any kind will do - I ran out of my Ahava and picked up a St. Ives at CVS and that works just as well) - the clay really draws out the impurities in your skin - you'll see little spots where its drawing out the oil as the mask dries0
-
you should use rose water as a toner! it made my pores all small, and got rid of blackheads and use tea tree oil for pimples!0

Read the book "Do You Have the Guts to be Beautiful" by Dr. Mitra Ray
Great recipes and information linking what we put into our body to the appearance of our skin, etc. My wife says the facial is great!0
