I know, weird topic.....

This is the third time in the last two weeks that I've vomited after a meal. I don't know why, but I'm working on it with my doc........ :grumble:

My question is: Should I delete what I ate from my journal? Or do you think any cals were absorbed in the 1/2 hour between meal and barfing, and I should leave it in there?

 Thanks for the help!!

I think you have far more things to worry about then the calories in the food you just puked up. Get healthy, and then worry about your calories.

    Good luck!

Perhaps the reason for your puking is b/c of the empty whiskey bottle in your av. Just sayin'.

    Ok, well
Have u ever had problems with reflux/heartburn

Until this situation is figured out, I wouldn't worry about cals, but getting healthy and eating healthy food when u are hungry

Maybe some pepcid? I once had a bout like that a few years ago and though I was carrying my girl finally. Unfortunately, it was just stress. But a little pepcid went a long way.

Try smaller sickly tummy food more frequently and don't worry about counting calories until you have this sorted out.

Sickly tummy food: bread, rice, apples, tea, broth, crackers (not at the same time)

I'd say if you puke, stop counting calories for that day, just try to eat healthy. If you are hungry, eat. If not, don't. Vomiting without being ill is odd. Hope the doctor helps you get this squared away soon. :flowerforyou:

It could also be an ulcer- my stomach was SO messed up for a while when I was a grad student that anytime I ate certain trigger foods, I felt like I was going to throw up (*although, I almost never DID throw up). Just another possible thing to ask the doc about though.

Trigger foods = chocolate, coffee/strong tea, wine, etc.

Just an idea... print off your food diary and show it to your doc. Could have something to do with what you're eating?

could it be maybe the pollen in the air? My sister has allergies, and when it gets all yucky running down her throat, she tends to get sick.

    tomato based (red) sauces
    caffeine
    nicotine
dairy (some people it helps, some it hurts)

But the Prilosec should be controlling your stomach acid issues.

As difficult as it is to wait, take your preggo test in the morning, especially if you've been keeping yourself hydrated. It's the whole "first morning urine" thing. You can very well get a positive and not do it in the morning but when I'd get a negative at night I'd wonder if it would be different if I did it in the morning. Hope you feel better soon! :flowerforyou:

Every time I eat legumes, I throw up exactly 2 hours later. Took me recording everything I was eating to realize at first it was chick peas (sadly, no hummus)... and then one night my Korean roommate cooked us dinner and I ate a red bean paste inside of a rice cake, and spent the entire night throwing it up.

Turns out its a type of allergy :grumble:
