I read an article that our body does not have thedigestive enzymes to breakdown fiber, therefore our body does not absorb the calories. Is this true?
Also, how many calories per gram of fiber?

correct. fiber is not digested by the body--broken down. though there has been some speculation that something is pulled from the fiber in digestion hence all the associated health benefits of fiber consumption (lower blood pressure, better sugar management etc.)...but these benefit could also come from the healthy diet that goes along with the fiber. (?)
so those calories, counted as carbohydrate calories, by some, have been considered as zero.0
