I have a natural peanut butter trick. Turn it upside down and you won't have to stir like crazy. Enjoy!

That's one of those things where you sit there going, "I wish I'd thought of that!"

It works really well with almond butter.

I think I remember cashew butter being good in the calorie department so that might be one to try.

    wow Candace

I thought this thread was a good discussion on peanut butter

    I dindt see anything personal

    sorry you feel that way

I saw it the same way Dave, some people would rather not be educated.:noway:

I don't think that it's 'some people would rather not be educated'... It's just not what she asked. It's good to be told there's an alternative, but after a while it gets sickening to have it shoved down your throat. And some people take a 'mightier than thou' tone. Start a new thread if you feel like educating. With that said, Candace, I doubt anyone meant any harm. Some people on here feel very passionately. Just my two cents, but what do I know, I sneak a spoon full of frozen cool whip when I'm craving icecream

So what's the verdict-which is the best Natural PB? Kraft grossed me out, but I didn't stir the oil well. I LOVE it and am eating light pb, just cause the natural was icky. So please help me!:flowerforyou:

thank you...my thoughts exactly. It is just really agrivating to ask a question and get preached at. I know that some foods are better than others, I was just looking for a better choice than regular old full fat that I knew the 1/2 a drop that I could have and stay in a decent calorie range would not touch the craving and I would end up eating more than I needed to. I got on here to get some suggestions of better choices (and if I'm not wrong, that is what most of this site is for) not to be preached at for asking about a low cal choice. Everyone is open to their opinion, but enough is enough...say it once and then quit beating the dead horse. And....obviously I'm testy because I still havn't fed my craving

she actually did ask for ideas on peanut butter and that is what happened

many times threads will go beyond the question and get a bit of overkill

but to take anything personal from a screen name and a keyboard is over reacting

the only people who can insult me are people who really know me

strangers on a website do not get that power to insult me because I choose not to give them that power...you have the same choice

Oh wow, I don't remember her asking about cool whip, maybe you need to start a new thread if you'd like to talk about cool whip.

I feel similarly Dave, however not everyone has that way of thinking. I'm not seeing this accomplish a heck of a lot except possibly make someone feel like they've been attacked. Small steps are better than no steps, imho.

I haven't tried Naturally More but people seem to like it here. I like Smart Balance.

And about the oil ... store it upside down.

Tonight we were at Costco and they were sampling Almond butter and boy was it delicious! Then again, because I was starving, I'm sure cardboard would taste good! I've never tried it before but if someone did a hidden taste test and told me almond butter was a healthy peanut butter....I'd believe them. I looked at the ingredients (you've opened my eyes to that Dave) and it was just almonds!!!!!

Ok, you have inspired me to TRY a more natural peanut butter. Not making any promises.

But, am I the only one that likes to put it on their waffles? It's one of the only ways I can stay full for the morning!

I don't like to dilute it... I eat it straight off the spoon...

Almond butter is amazingly yummy, especially on fruit.

Oh I love almond butter! It's just expensive so I try to not have it too often, hehe ... don't think I'll try any with fruit though.

Adam's cruch peanut butter is the best. I agree though it is hard to go with just 1 Tbs or even 2. I had three with lunch today and ended up going over on my fat grams. O well. It was so good (healthy fat).

I'm very weird with my food... especially when it comes to nuts. I blame my father.

No else eats the Kirkland Organic?? I feel like I'm doing a disservice by not fully talking up how wonderful it is. It's creamy (like melted "regular" peanut butter), but not all separated.

It's also made with U.S. grown peanuts, but not sure if other PBs use foreign nuts or not.

Oh, and one of my favorite "stick it to me"/indulgent breakfasts is a Krusteaz Wheat and Honey pancake, a tablespoon of Kirkland Organic PB, and a 1/4 cup of light syrup.

Me too, Me too!! Bfast this am: Peanut butter and 1/2 banana on a frozen waffle, drizzled with about 1/2 tsp of honey. Whole bfast plus coffee and juice 300something calories.

For the natural PB, try nuking it for 20 seconds or so before mixing, it helps. But....the kind you make yourself requires NO mixing prior to eating..just another plug for do it yourself PB!

That's the only way I eat them!!! I hate syrup, always have. (strange child, I know! )

I have a hard time eating pancakes at restaurants (which is probably a good thing!) because I need my PB!!
