I've just had an amazingly busy week. Before I finally get to climb in bed, I wanted to think of the funnest thing I possilby could. Aha! Christmas dvd's !

Here are my top 5

Preacher's Wife (Whitney Houston and Denzel Washington, ear candy and eye candy, the only two kinds of candy I'm allowing myself this year, ha ha)

Joyeaux Noel (a French film based on letters and diaries from WW I, when troops all across the front lines called a truce on Christmas Eve, AMAZING FILM!)

It's a Wonderful Life (but of course)

Christmas Vacation (for the "Sparky" in me)

And a Mo Tab Christmas concert starring Sissel. (Hard to find, but the most beautiful visual and musical Christmas video I've ever seen)

Welcome!

As long as it's not a chick flick I'll be fine. In fact, I don't really go for xmas movies, but if I had to say 1, I agree with The Polar Express. Good feelings . . .
That Tim Allen film also, The Santa Cause!

While You were Sleeping - I come back to it every year. Meet Me in St Louis, White Christmas/Holiday Inn, Love Actually - I'm a totally romantic sap - can you tell?! And Joyeux Noel, partially because a lot of my college friends are in it, but also it's a wonderful story and very moving.

I love all of them, i just love Xmas. Santa Claus the movie, the grinch, Edward scissorhands (not technically a xmas film but xmas is in it and i love it, bit of a tradition in our house), miracle on 34th street, home alone and the snowman every Xmas morning. Don't think this counts but Doctor Who and Eastenders every Xmas day as well.
  • Do Lethal Weapon 2 and Die Hard count? If so, I say them. Otherwise I can't think of any I like. Not a big Xmas movie fan

HOw could I foget The Christmas Story? Fantastic.

I'm really into stage plays too. I have a pro actress friend that frequently appears in Seattle and national plays. I got to see her in the stage productions of White Christmas and The Christmas Story. (yes, they made a musical out of it) It was fun, but I liked the movie better. But for those of you who like "White Christmas" watch for it to come to a town near you. I have NEVER had so much fun at a play. The music, dancing, costumes and scenery (including real snow falling on the audience at the end) has never filled me with so much giddy excitement.

o.k. yeah, I know the guy who asked if Lethal Weapon qualifies is cringing.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

seriously, you know those actors? That is so cool. I think the acting is amazing in that film, and although I know the voices are dubbed, I LOVE the music. My daughter sings opera, so it's always great to hear classical music in a movie that is loved by the masses.

oh, I love me some George C. Scott. But I also love the Muppet version. Fezziwig never had his character more aptly played than by "Fozziewig"

But doesn't anyone like Christmas Vacation? I didn't see any of you post that one.
