Navy spouses?

I'm looking for other positive Navy spouses out there (other branches welcome too of course!) that I can talk to. I'm isolated at the moment (not on a base, or even near one, until January) and new, and a lot of the seasoned spouses on the Navy's websites are pretty harsh and condescending. I'm really looking for a positive support group to help my marriage succeed despite the statistics that everyone keeps reminding me about. If you'd like some positive support too, feel free to add me :) My husband is in a school to go into subs.

    I am still in the Navy; my husband was in for 6 years (we were together then) and is now a reservist. Any questions or issues or support you need, just ask. :)

    I'm not a Navy spouse, but a Navy mom. My son just started his A school this week in VA. We Skype all the time and that seems to help him. I would think that would help a new marriage as well. He often Skypes his girlfriend and I'm booted off when she appears .... as it should be if they're going to make it work. :) Do you get to Skype?

    We just got him a laptop so we can Skype-- I'm excited :) And we have been an amazing couple since we got together so I am feeling really good about the whole thing. I hate that so many people are cynical or bitter about it. I mean sure, it's tough, but we are making it work and loving it. It's a great opportunity to grow as a couple AND as an individual.

    I am a Navy spouse who lives 1100 miles from my hubby... And he is deployed right now to Somalia (for 5 1/2 more months). Feel free to add me if you want to. We've had our ups and downs, but are extremely happy! Good luck!
