According to MFP I should eat 1260 cals to lose 2lbs a week, but what should my carbs, protein, and fat %'s be set at to do this?

right now its at 50% carbs, 30% protein and 20% fat.

should it be different? i heard the 40/40/20 is good. any ideas??

I've also heard the 40/40/20 is good. Mine is set to 40/30/30 and I am able to keep up with that pretty good. I think it's definitetly beneficial to have a higher protein %.
  • I do 100/100/100. Maybe that's my problem.

I was at 25/35/40 for a while, but recently changed slightly to 30/35/35. 40% is a lot of protein imo.

A general rule I follow is 1g protein for each pound I weigh. I swith between 40 and 45% protein and carbs from 25-30%.
Lower carb (not freaky extreme), high protein has always worked best for me.
