college student still wearing goth cloths? Might be time to mature the wardrobe lol Unless it is for a costume ... there is this pin up girl site that has some cool things some leaning toward goth, of course I forgot the name of it but, I am sure if you use google you could fine it easily. It is a popular site. I think there is good goth.com too not sure how good it is though.

im not trying to be rude, but you dont look like miss fashionista so maybe you dont realize that gothic clothing can suit any age group.

There are so very many others. But the above sites are where my money goes if I have any.

There are also many communities on livejournal that are still pretty active and you can find pretty cool clothes, http://altgothfashion.livejournal.com is one of them (I may have mangled the URL). If you are into custom corsetry, the corsetry on livejournal is awesome.

Wow, judgemental much? Is there really an age limit to dress how you'd like? Should we all dress like soccer moms after a certain age? I've been dressing like this since before it was labeled goth, and I'll continue to dress like this as long as I am able. And FYI, I dress very tastefully. How I dress is an artform and it is not up to you or anyone else to tell me how I can or cannot dress. I don't care if you don't like my black velvet, corsets, or bustle skirts. Just like I'm sure you do not care if I like your baggy ill fitting tank top and jeans. This is not an argument for this site, but seriously your comment was extremely rude and uncalled for.

Also, did it occur to you that maybe she's not even asking for herself? Perhaps she's buying a gift for someone.

For myself AND gifts. I can actually fit the clothes I want to now, and a corset for occasional "casual" wear (not costume...but multipurpose" would be divine! It seems like the larger the clothes, the more expensive though...

uhm... my wardrobe consists of practically everything, thank you very much. I buy what I want based on if I like it or not. I can finally fit the largest size in forever21, which means I can shop for regular sized clothes at regular stores. (forever21 always runs reliably small...like Hot Topic...) I've never pigeon-holed my style. It's the fact that smaller clothe cost less, and a lot of store-bought "goth" clothing is reliably cheap and mainstream.

goth is more than dark clothing and cheap makeup. it's a personal thing. i may not dress like that all the time, but adding some elements of many styles together is something i love to play with. jewelry, lace, and artistic gothic pieces added to a more traditional fashion style makes more of an impact than just plain "fashion" (if one can call it that).

Goth (ACTUAL goth...not this Tripp pants and plastic fang ****), is a beautiful combination of color and style that is sadly misrepresented because of...crappy high school fads. There are plenty of adult goths that "function in normal society."

Added note. It's not that I'm goth. I don't have a style. It's the fact that I've been craving ACTUAL GOTHIC (note the difference between real and...cheap, gaudy, imitation for the joy of dramatic teens...) since I uncovered the difference in high school. But I couldn't fit the things I liked back then. And now there's and excellent chance that I can. I'm thinking of starting with lace chokers and hairpieces that I can work into my style now. I LIKE compounding separated things. It makes life more interesting.

    End of rant.

And thank you for the sites. Let's see if my budget can support an occasional habit, eh? XD
