I know its the main ingredient in diet pills and it increases your metabolism and body's thermogensis along with supressing appetite, but who all has had success with that? It helped me..

    Caffeine and Ephedrine, yes.

Cheaper than diet pills. Waaaaay cheaper actually.

But not many people take the time to educate themselves.

I don't intake caffeine in any other forms then pills, but i like the fact that I can control/regulate it.

    ;)

Don't put your hope in it. Put your hope in yourself. Caffeine won't do anything but keep you awake. Trust me. Been working nights for years consuming large amounts of caffeine and still fat. You will never be more successful than when you decide that the main ingredient in your success is yourself.
  • Yes its very useful.
But you need a clean diet.
    To do weights or cardio.

    Never had oxyelite

Do you mean caffeine in pill form like NoDoze? I drink coffee but the pills usually make me pretty shaky.
Where do you even get Ephedrine?

Not the same thing but a few years ago I lost 4 stone in about 8 weeks due to drinking red bull.I wasn't drinking it a lot but for some reason my body couldn't tolerate it. it just fell off.

Wish that would happen again lol

I find that it helps clean my system out. I am very sensitive to caffiene and when I drink coffee I almost always have bowel movement within an hr. Sorry if that tmi but I am often irregular which causes bloating and after I get "cleaned out" the scale is at least a lb lighter. I know its not fat loss but it helps me see where I am weight wise without the extra gunk. Lmao!
  • My friend / trainer told me how to use caffeine to lose weight for my competitions and if you don't abuse it thten it works well. but it can be addictive

But you should try to live more naturally - but its hard.

    You can use yohimbe too

I've tried it, but it keep me awake at nights, even if I have it in the morning. I also will get a headache if I skip a day of caffeine.

I gave up caffeine during the Summer, and noticed cellulite was much improved, obviously I was also eating healthy and excercising ( I was drinking anything upto 10 cups of coffee a day originally)...went back on it and to be honest fell off the healthy eating wagon.....Ive given up again there about 3 weeks ago, and I hope to stay off it indefinitely, maybe have it as a treat.

Caffeine ( in Tea/Coffee/Coke/Red Bull) for me equals...Cellulite, Premature Ageing, and supposedly when caffeine hits the central nervous system it lowers blood sugar...which increases the brains demand for more sugar.

Im no expert on this though...but its not for me.

Im also wary of any pills/diet pills or otherwise, as I was always under the impression that diet pills increased heart rate...leading to many heart problems in coming years, starting with not being able to excercise to a point of getting out of breath due to fainting etc?

I used oxielite pro as well, along with diet and excersise 5-6 days a week. Gives me a push for excersising because I do not have caffiene in my diet otherwise (no soda or coffee)
  • I use caffeine to get me out of bed in the morning. The don't make dunkin donut pills so i take it liquid form ;D

Caffeine solo doesn't do much for me, but when it's stacked with some other goodies, it's the bombay!

I used OEP this summer to kickstart my metabolism during a plateau. I actually went to my pcp and asked her about it. She said to try it! I was on a strict diet and working out 6 days a week, doing insanity. I stopped taking it in September but I just started again for the next 2 weeks so I get a higher calorie burn when working out. I only take 1 pill in the am, not 3 total for the day. I never noticed a huge difference in my weightloss from it, just my calorie burn and back then I was eating my exercise calories back. I am only eating 50% back now...so we will see. I have 3-4 lbs to go before my goal weight and I want to lose it before xmas.
  • I read somewhere that it only works in pill form along side aspirin???

I started taking Women's One-A-Day active metabolism multivitamin every mornign with breakfast when I started on MFP. It has 120mg of Caffeine. I found that it does help me get going in the morning. I used to reach for a soda or coffee drink in the morning and now I rarely grab anything but water in the morning. It may just be all in my head but I find that I am ready to start my day and I am not dragging myself to work anymore. It works for me to start my day more energetic and because I take it in the morning it doesn't affect my sleep at all. I am not sure how effective it is with assisting in the weightloss but I do find that I am more apt to get up out of my desk to go talk with someone instead of just sending an email or calling. At least that little energy boost is allowing me to burn more calories by not sitting on my butt all morning.

It can help a little, but only if your diet and training are already dialed in. For most people, the anorectic effects surpass the thermogenic effects.
  • Yes you can use caffeine and other supplements like yohimbe in the right circumstances.
If you want me to help you with this let me know.
I do it alot with my bodybuilding and its about timing etc.
