Does wearing Spanx help with weight loss?

the only thing that helps you lose weight is diet and exercise. Spanx can make your jiggly bits look smaller though :laugh:0

No, has nothing to do with weight loss. It's a body control. It just sucks you in or smoothes you out (especially if you're wearing a tight dress).0

Does wearing Spanx help with weight loss? Dumb question I know.
only if wearing them makes you eat less in order to be more comfortable0 -
It might help with the psychological part (if it makes you look better are you more likely to eat/exercise better?), but it does nothing for you physically.0

being a large man I wear them whenever I work out .. they make me feel sexy! jk They don't JUST make me feel sexy!0

If it did i'd be a skinny mini by now lol..But no they dont, but they work wonders when u wanna wear a little black tight dress and dont wanna jiggle, keeps it super tight;)0

I hear that they can help with the loose skin problem if you wear them during a workout. Not sure how true that is though, but they do not help you lose weight.0

But wearing glasses helps with vision?0

The only thing spandex does is push all the fat up, making you look like you have a muffintop.0

^ this!
If it works as a psychological tool then yes.
Arnold Schwarzenegger used to hate his legs. They were small and they didn't compliment the rest of his body. He said that he started wearing really short shots so that he'd see them in the mirrors in the gym so he'd be motivated to go train his legs so that they'd be in proportion.
I have a theory about pants: If you wear pants with elastic waist bands then you'll "eat into" them.
If you wear a belt or pants that don't expand then you'll notice when you're getting fatter and you'll be motivated to start losing weight.0 -

You have amazing hair.
And to answer the question: nope.0 -
Um no but the 1 time I wore one under a mermaid style formal dress it helped me breath slower and harder. I couldn't sit right either. Then I had to pee out of that dreaded hole in the crotch area. Ew.0
-
It will if you use it as motivation

I am not sure how I managed to reach the age of 27 before I learned what Spanx were. I've still never worn them.0

Does muscle weigh more than fat?0

Yes.
And don't ask me to prove it because I know me and my body. :flowerforyou:0 -

The only one who will lose weight thanks to spanx is the one, uncovering that ypu are wearing one of those lovely spanx pants - and then doing a runner ^^0
-
I've always avoided them because the fat has to be pushed somewhere, either above, below or tighter around your precious organs, none of which appeal to me.
