I am looking for healthy oatmeal raisin cookies, please shar

Hello,

I have always loved oatmeal raisin cookies, and I am having a hard time finding some that are low on the glycemic index. I am finding all of them have a bout 12g sugar and 2g to 3g protein only per serving. I just can't seem to put it in my mouth with that much sugar to protein. Does anyone know a brand that has less sugar to protein, or have a good soft cookie recipe I can try.

Thank you!

Make them yourself and use 1/2-3/4 sugar. You can also add some nuts for protein. I make cranberry almond oatmeal cookies that are super delicious!

Just use less sugar not artificial sugars. I HATE it when I have a cookie with splenda and it has that taste to it. You can also use more natural sweeteners like honey, just use less.

I use stevia in place of sugar and splenda it's better for you as it's a natural sweetener. Also try adding just a little protein powder to cick up the protein.

try searching for vegan recipes online! they eliminate any unwanted fats or processing from dairy products (eggs, milk, butter). They stay fresh longer since there is nothing to dry out. i am not vegan but have enjoyed making vegan baked goods for the last reason! All my carnivor friends and family members always love them too :) you can even find vegan recipes that use natural sweeteners like agave syrup rather than a bunch of unneeded unhealthy sugars!!!

you could try just adding raisins to the 2 ingredient cookies

    1 cup dry quaker oats
    2 ripe bananas
    (however many raisins you enjoy)

From my Pinterest dessert board: www.pinterest.com/issypal

When you have a sweet tooth and want to stay on track, here's a nice treat. No flour OR sugar! 3 mashed bananas (ripe), 1/3 cup apple sauce, 2 cups oats, 1/4 cup almond milk, 1/2 cup raisins (optional), 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

I make a raw oatmeal cookie for snacking. Roll them into little balls and stick them in the freezer using the following ingredients.

Oats, Nuts, Raisins, Dark Chocolate, Agave Nectar.

I use mostly oats, nuts and raisins with a couple pieces of good chocolate and just a tiny queeze of agave to get it to stick together. The raisins will be sticky adn the chocolate chops finely so you get that yummy chocolate goodness without adding loads of sugary calories.
