Hi there...have any of you experienced this? Look at my ticker...that picture was taken before I started weight loss. Now, I have to use cover up on my eyes between eye and side of my nose....or I look like I've been punched. Is this a nutritional thing?

I do beauty blogging so this is right up my alley, lol! It could be a nutritional issue -- are you drinking at least 4-5 glasses of water per day to help flush your system? Also, are you getting enough iron?
From the beauty perspective -- too much sleep or not enough can cause these issues. Try a cold compress on the area before you go to sleep at night to help shrink the blood vessels and see how it looks in the morning. Also try investing in an eye cream (many of them have caffeine which is great for boosting the skin).0 -

Thanks for some great ideas. I do drink a ton of water but since I started this "diet" I've been getting up at 4 am to work out. Probably not getting as much sleep. It's weird because the darkness is in between my eyes and not under eyes where you usually get dark circles.0 -

It's not uncommon to have to put concealer on between your tear ducts and the bridge of your nose; I do it on a daily basis just because I find that it makes me look more awake. If I do makeup on someone else, it's pretty standard procedure. It's the same as circles under the eyes; the blood vessels are all located in that area, it just means that those are the ones on you that are particularly affected0 -
Ok. I was just concerned that it was something I was doing wrong. It's like I've aged by 10 years when I wake up and as I put makeup on...I take the years off. It really makes that big of a difference. I guess I was always lucky that I could go without makeup and it wasn't a big deal...now I don't leave the house!0

I wouldn't let MFP people diagnose you here, It's impossible for them. Please go see your doctor just in case it gets worse.
GOOD LUCK0 -

Thanks I've actually been to the doctor about a voice issue I'm having and she's sending me to an ENT. I made a comment about the dark circles and she said to ask about that also...might be related. I was just looking to see if anyone else had a similar experience. I really have noticed a lot more darkening since I've been losing weight.0 -

I was told by my doctor a sure sign of an allergy (food,or other) is dark circles which my husband and I and all our children have and later on we found out I am allergic to lactose him to gluten and wheat and our kids are the same. It also could be a accumalation of tiredness and nutrition. Are you taking a multivitamin?0
-
Actually no...I'm taking prescription vitamin D and it says not to take anything else with Vitamin D. I guess I could look at some vitamins and see what I can find. That's actually a very good suggestion. I used to take a multivitamin every day but they made me nauseous.0

Last year, I lost 50 pounds and had so many wrinkles on my face. Sometimes, the dark circles would be there too. I just think it's from the fat loss. Unfortunately, I didn't keep the weight off. I've gained about half back, but I'm working to get it off again. Good new is...less wrinkles now! LOL0
