Poor stomach :(

My stomach is horrible. For all of you moms who complain about having a “mom” belly after child birth, I have it and I have NO children!
I understand stretch marks, I’ve gained and lost weight and gained it back more times than I can count, those don’t bother me. At this point in time though, I’ve been able to keep 50 pounds off for 2 years and I’m hoping to lose 15-30 more. My stomach is just plain icky. Some days it is flatter than others and some days I look like I might be a few months pregnant. It’s just a fat stomach. I carry a lot of my weight there.
I know spot training is impossible and I’m not looking for exercises to help that area, but maybe some advice from people who’ve been in my spot who DON’T have severe tummy issues anymore.
Thanks

Cardio, Cardio, Cardio. That's the best advice you'll get. Unfortunately we can't choose where the fat comes off.0

Do a Google search for exercises that work your transverse abdominal muscles. They are the deepest layer of muscle and are the ones that are responsible for holding in your organs and intestines. If those muscles are tight your belly will appear flatter. You could also do Pilates workouts since Pilates works the same muscles.0

Is it actual weight, or could it be more internal--ie bloating? I had huge issues with stuff like that all my life. I'm now gluten free (thought it couldn't hurt to try), and I eat reduced dairy. So far, so good. My stomach is starting to shrink. I know I still have a lot of work to do to tighten it up, but at least the bloating end is figured out (I think)! Good luck!!0

Run - lots of running! I have the same problem area and I've been running and I see my shrinking before my eyes :-)0

I have a yeast intolerance, found out about a year ago.. I looked like I had a beer belly ( like a redneck no offense to anyone)..I have finally got it so it isn't as bloated but ethompso0105 said it could be gluten as well..
I am still working at getting my stomach back to normal as well... cardio....cardio... and Planks.. Side Planks.. you will start see a different but not over night0 -
my tummy was also very bloated 48" round largest part.. I went gluten free/low carb and it shrunk 12" (now 36" round same part) in a few months so I'm sticking with it and hoping to shrink it further, combined with exercise and I've been wearing sauna belt and zaggora hot pants when I work out to make that area sweat more... gone from size 20 to 16! :happy:0

plus as a previous poster stated, the PLANK!0 -
Try the Flat Belly Diet - the book is cheap and has recipe ideas too, so it's very easy to give it a go :flowerforyou:0

Insulin resistance and stress can lead to weight around the middle too.0
