Should you work out if your muscles are still sore from the last work out, 2 days ago? Does it make a difference if its cardio vs. strength training? Thanks!

  • I personally say providing you don't feel as though you're about to drop dead, keep going!

Scientifically I have no idea, sorry haha.
  • Keep going!! But maybe work different muscle groups, or do cardio.

Depends how sore you are? It might feel better or you might risk injuring the muscle.

Try something different that might not hit that muscle.

actually alot of times it will help to work out when you are sore. Your soreness is usually lactic acid built up in your muscles and when you workout again, it helps to release it . It shouldn't hurt you, it helps me recover quicker most of the time. Not to say though that the next workout won't make you sore too! If you are really miserable I would recommend some cardio like treadmill or something to just get your muscles going.

If I am really sore, I do cardio. It actually loosens me up and makes me less sore. If its just sore when I am stretching or slightly tight, I continue on like normal.

I personally love feeling sore from working out <3
