hey just got your friend request! i am literally on the exact same path as you. I'm 5 2" and about 145-150 (bouncing back and forth) right now, but I was originally 162 (my heaviest).

I got down to 135 last year, but now I'm back up!! trying really hard to lose and keep it off. weight gain runs in my family so I've been struggling forever too!

good luck I'm here to help

I am a little shorter than the both of you. I am exactly 5'0 and currently weigh 126lbs. My doctor and I would like to see myself at 112-115. I have a fairly small frame and I honestly don't care about the weight. I would just like to get back into my size 2's and 4's.

10-15 lbs doesn't sound like much but when you are petite like us, it makes a huge difference.

I am 5 2" (and a half) & 148 lbs. Got down to 136lbs last year but thanks to all the emotional eating and no exercising, put on back again. Reached 156lbs and now back again, trying to lose.

It does indeed make a huge difference when you're petite. I'm 5'1 and weigh 126 as well. I've found some brands that I can wear size 2 or a 5 in junior size, but I suspect those labels/styles run on the large size. Goes back to that whole vanity sizing thing I guess.

  • Hey! I'm 5' 2" too! I was close to 140 two years ago and got down to 122. I understand how hard it is to be petite. 5 to 10 pounds makes a huge difference in not only how you feel but how clothes fit as well. I'm here for ya if you want to add me as a friend!

@au640 I agree with the vainity of the sizes. "They" say it shouldn't matter the size as long as you feel good about youself and dress your body according to size (which i try to do) but it just makes you feel fantastic inside when you can fit into your "skinny clothes"

anyone feel free to add me! It is nice to be on this adventure with others!

I am just under 5' 2" and started MFP at almost 200(!!!)lbs. I will be 47 at the end of this month, and at 30lbs lighter, I feel years younger. I was like you younger girls in high school and college, then marriage and two kids really put me over the top(its not baby weight anymore when your first baby is a senior in high school!!) Its hard to believe that someone my height could weigh that much and I really thought I was not that fat, but now I realize I was and still am too heavy. I love MFP and all the smiles and suggestions you get along with the motivation to keep up healthy living every day.
I would love to join a group, but I don't know how...

I'm 5'3" and started my journey this summer at 179 pounds. I am down to 162/163 but according to my doctor, I need to get down to 135 or below. I've not been lower than 130 my entire adult life (I will be 46 in 11 days ) but was so happy at 140 cuz I could actually eat a little bit and not feel deprived. I love food too much to spend time feeling deprived. LOL! Anyhow, it's a journey and I'd love to share it with some short friends. :)
