I didn't know there was a "Runner's Club" on here. I ran 8 miles and feel amazing! It's the best way to start the week.0

5 miles. That's the longest distance I have ever run outside and without stopping. I feel amazing!0

Hi there Tabassan!
I think we've been posting for a year now. Just a fun group that checks in daily. We post about running, walking, resting, and other workouts that we do. Look for us daily! We'd love to hear what you're up to.0 -

Awesome job Pixie Stick!:flowerforyou:0 -
Awesome job ladies! I have yet to run 5 miles outside, maybe soon.
I did do another 5k yesterday, it was my second one. I am really sore today, not sure whether I should run or rest, what do you think?0 -
Hi Runners!
I'm back from my 10-miler. It was a little soggy out there, but the really heavy stuff didn't start until after I crossed the finish line. My final time was 1:20:40. I was pretty happy with it.
Jess-WTG on your half and new PR! That's awesome! You've worked hard for it!
Tabassan- Welcome and great job on your 8 today. Are you training for anything specific or just running to keep fit?
Hope you all are enjoying what's left of the weekend!0 -

WTG on your 5k! I'm not a professional or anything, but you might just want to try a nice easy mile today, just to loosen you up a bit.:flowerforyou:0 -
I have to go out running later today but havent run in 2 days. I am scared to do it with the kids there. I live next to a high school and I can use their track but I dont know if my kids can handle playing there for a half hour. Will have to brainstorm.0

OMG I just got back from running 20 miles! I didn't think I could do it... I'm running a marathon at the end of the month and I've been stressing about it so much. I'm so excited now! Keep running everyone!

Thanks so much! That was my first time running that far, I've been running consistently since August but I was always running a little bit for volleyball before that.

I'm so sad/mad. I'm still out because of my dumb knee. It's not really hurting, but it is? I don't know. Very strange. If it doesn't stop hurting completely in the next two days, I guess I'll go to the doctor.
Very jealous of all of you that are running. :frown: But great job!0 -

Where in the knee? Side, front, back?? Hurting only when running, walking?? Send me a message, I had what I thought was knee issues that ended up being severe IT band strain.0 -

I ran my first marathon last September, it is such an incredible experience Great job, twenty is definitely the hardest during training, but you made it.0 -
I'm in between training and looking for a good fall marathon. Any suggestions.0

4 miles for me today - having sore ankle issues and recovering from a pull hamstring - my god does that hurt!!0
-
Did 4 1/2 today!0

I did 3miles outside this morning and am aiming for 4 miles on Friday.
I did manage to shave a little over two minutes off of my 5k time from my first race two weeks ago to the one I did on Saturday A group of about 7 of us from work ran it and I managed to outrun all of my co-workers, i think it got away with the guys, haha.
After the race with two of my work buddies
Now i just have to work on my endurance for these long runs. you gals are awesome!!0 -
Wow, you guys are amazing. I love to run but can't seem to improve my endurance. The most I've run on a regular basis is 3 miles and that was years ago. My daughter comes home from college tomorrow and she wants me to start running with her.
My biggest issue is breathing. I get so out of breath I can't keep running. My legs want to keep going but I can't because I'm breathing to hard and it hurts. :grumble:
Any of you have any suggestions for me? I've heard there are some breathing excercises or techniques but haven't a clue.
Keep up your greatness everyone. I am very inspired.
Many Blessings,
Nita0 -

I would slow down your running a bit. Try doing a run/ walk. When you feel so out of breath, take a walk break (1-2 min). Then run again. You will eventually build up endurance. There are lots of programs at runnersworld.com that help get you running longer distances. Good luck!0 -
Hi Jess - Thanks for the tip, I"ll check out the website too. I'm setting small goals to see if I can overcome the breathing problem.
Thanks for the encouragement. You guys are great!0
