Fruit -- how many pieces do you eat a day?

Options
On average, how many pieces of fruit do you eat in one day? In pieces I mean 1 whole apple, 1 whole pear, 1 whole banana, etc. If you include pineapple, break it down to be about the size of an apple etc. My concern: If I start making fruit smoothies, I can really up my fruit count by allot! I don't think it's a problem as long as I stay within my calorie limits. And I don't think the sugar is a problem either because its natural, vrs refined sugar. So... what is your count, on average? That's what I want to know. 1,2,3,4? What is it!?!?!

Lately I've been addicted to mandarin oranges (cuties!). I'll eat 4-6 per day and sometimes I'll also have frozen berries (1-2 cups) and a large honeycrisp apple.

    I love fruit.

It really depends a lot on whether I have a smoothie. I have-at the bare minimum-1 serving every day. When I have berries, I will have three or four servings a day. I also eat avocado, and I think technically that's a fruit... so maybe 2 a day minimum.

1 plus I have a fruit juice in the morning, no sugar added. Like pure orange or grapefruit juice. I eat a lot more veggies then fruit.

1 apple and sometimes a kiwi or a banana :)
I also buy frozen unsweetened peaches and strawberries. I use them as ice cubes in unflavored soda water or diet sierra mist some times when I need a pick me up.

    Love my fruit!

I think you got the right idea. I'm working fruit back in. I've been having a cup/or 1/2 of frozen bluberries w/oats. I'm really liking the frozen fruit from Target/Market Pantry. It's delicious, good quality and versatile. AND I don't have to worry about it rotting away if I don't eat it right away.

Usually 2 - an apple with my sandwich for lunch and a banana for an afternoon snack. I get a little extra in my fruit in the bottom yogurt but it's not a whole serving.
