Guilty pleasure songs

So, I drive up to my office today blaring whatever "I'm alright" by Kenny Loggins

(I'm alright, don't nobody worry 'bout me. Why you got to gimme a fight? Can't you just let it be)

-This is TOTALLY outside of my regular (tasteful) muscial repertoire and I'm sure that I received a few looks as I drove into the parking lot.

What's your "most embarrassing" musical guilty pleasure?

    agreed!!!
  • I don't really get embarrassed by my musical taste, but perhaps like, the jonas brothers or demi lovato or n*sync or people like that. Only because other people think it's something to be embarrassed about. I like my taste in music though, so they can just tune it out if they have a problem hahah.

C'mon Eileen is a good one .. you can't help but sing along. I also love all 80s music -- plus rap? So if anyone were to listen to the music on my iphone they would think I were crazy. I definitely get the "is she really doing that" looks at stoplights as I dance and sing along ;)

Ok I really like MmmBop by Hanson. I know they were like 13 years old when the song came out but hey now they're making their own beer brand so they can't be all that bad! Ha Ha!!!

It’s Raining Men – The Weather Girls

The only solace I can take from this is that it is also Homer Simpson’s favorite song

I told my boyfriend the other day that that "I love you like a love song" (Selena Gomez) was "our song". -I even posted it on his FB. He is like "uh, can I get a vote in that?" This is a man who plays Iron Maiden when I ask if he can throw some Christmas music on while we frost the holiday cookies. (sigh, lol) Poor guy, I torture him so.

    I guess mine wasn't so guilty/embarrassing.

    Here's a better one:

I, giggity, inhabitant of the interwebz......am a closet Backstreet Boys fan. My ipod is pretty embarrassing.

I also listen to Broadway music, but maintain that it is awesome. No shame over here in the nerd-hut.

Other than the fun songs to work out to that I wouldn't listen to in real life (e.g. I Like Big Butts)?

"Feelin' Groovy/Fifty Ninth Street Bridge Song" by Simon & Garfunkel.

Slow down, you movin' too fast
You gotta make the morning last
    Just kickin' down the cobblestones
    Lookin' for fun and
    Feelin' groovy____________

    Hello lampost
    Whatcha knowin?
I've come to watch your flowers growin'
Ain'tcha got no rhymes for me?
    Doo Bee Doo Doo,
    Feelin' groovy____________

    Got no deeds to do
    No promises to keep
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep
Let the morningtime drop all its petals on me...
    Life, I love you,
    All is groovy____________________

I love Paul Simon and I love Simon & Garfunkel, but at 27 years old, the word "groovy" shouldn't even be in my vocabulary.

Not a guilty choice in music, but as I am in final exam week, my stress relief has been going for short drives with the windows down. Cool air to combat the staleness of the library. MY music had been a repeat of Skillet's "Rebirthing" and "Last Night" alternating with Godsmack's "Voodoo." I don't realize how loudly I am singing along until I get looks at red-lights or pulling back into the dorm parking lot.

Karma Karma Karma Chameleon. This song will make me stop whatever I'm doing so I can dance and sing along! Just don't tell my kids...they already think I'm a dork.
