  • It's a great idea...you should try the GNC meal replacement shakes. I like the vanilla because it doesn't have an after taste. For added protein I pul in the natural peanut butter. It's absolutely delish and filling too!

Yes, have a shake. A few sips at a time. Once you have a little in your tummy you might find it helps to calm those butterflies. Be sure to drink your water if you really cant stomach anything so you stay hydrated.

For sure; not eating will cause your sugar levels to drop and it will make you feel even worse emotionally. Family gatherings can be stressful at times and worrying only makes it worse. How about deciding to not think about the event except for 15 minutes at a nominated time, then the rest of the day stay busy & focussed on things that make you happy? It helps me when I get on the worry roundabout. So take care of yourself so you are better equipped to cope. Go girl, you can do it!!

I have the exact opposite problem when worried/stressed. I eat eat eat!

But, either ready made or home made protein shake or smoothie would be good. Pray everything works out for you. I find that MOST of the time--things turn out far better then I ever thought they would.

First...so sorry you are so stressed about a family occasion that you can't eat! If you think you can stomach some protein shakes, then go for it. Maybe blend in some fresh fruit and/or spinach for additional nutrients. Hang in there :)
