It's called the search button

Carry on with making threads questioning something your body has been doing for 20 years.
Right.. makes me wonder what some ladies bodies have been doing for their whole life up until now..
It seems like people step on a scale during TOM and suddenly all logic goes out the window..
How did you get from search to periods?
I wish I had never posted on this ridiculous thread. Will it never end?0 -
4 pages of this? lol
Anyway, seriously... I have to agree with the original post, (probably the execution was a lil off...but the point shes making is true) use the search function.
and if u dont get your answer... come up with more inventive ways to ask exactly what you want
for example: asking for a "good HRM" is too general and vague...what YOU mean by "good" Get more specific of your own needs0 -

No, it won't ever end.. cause like the Lamb Chop song goes,
This is the thread that never ends.. yes it goes on and on my friends. Some people started reading it, not knowing what it was and they'll be forever reading it just because it is the thread that never ends..0 -
Waah, I have posted on the never-ending thread! How naive am I, not to foresee this terrible fate.
At least I didnt start it.0 -
I did not even have any idea there was a search function until I had been on here about a week..0
-
Please utilize it. That is all.
If you yourself would have used the search button, you'd have found that this topic has been covered before.
Actually, I tried using the search button to prove that very point, and didn't find anything on this topic. So either she really did post a brand new topic, or the search button doesn't always find similar topics.
I think we need to make allowances for new people, too. I was one of those people who felt the need to post about whether I should exercise when my period was heavy. (Yes, one's period CHANGES as she gets older! Once I exercised to "increase the flow". But what about when flow is out of control? That CAN happen when you reach a certain age!) I never did find the answer to my question, but since I learned that there are those who could care less about my health on this "supportive" forum, just so long as they don't have to read about my TOM, I haven't asked again.0 -
I read all the way through hoping for more gifs because I like to laugh. And also, I don't know how to post them myself :sad:0

aww no gifs! there there

You're unsupportive.0

You're unsupportive.
I don't really get this post?
Say one thing then everyone attacks you lol0 -

Oh, and has it ever crossed your mind that if you see a topic that you don't want to read then not to click on it? It's a simple concept. I do it all the time.
Why did you read this then?0 -

New people join MFP daily and this sort of attitude does nothing but make them feel unwelcome by a few nameless, faceless individuals who think they are some sort of elite group on a message board.
^^ yes BUT this...
no matter how annoyed you are that people repost the same topics over and over again...being passive aggressive about it really lacks tact, class and maturity.
and i agree with the other poster in that the search function on this site is not very good. i have searched for things and not been able to find anything close to relevant to what i was looking for.
lastly... :flowerforyou:0 -
aww no gifs! there there
OMG that is so cute..:flowerforyou:0 -
Get over it.0

Aww, aren't you charming? Caught you before you took the "idiot" part out.
You know, you are young. I really just think you started this thread so that you could find people to be snarky with because you really are soooo bored with the forums. If its that boring, find something better to do.0 -
I can see your point but sometimes people want to get answers from people in similar situations as them, not some seach engine... I just think you shouldn't sound so harsh but then again... you are kind of right.. either way. its not a win win situation0

For jaded members with 1000+ postings, who can't stand to see old questions raised, here's a template to use:
***********************
Welcome to the myfitnesspal chatboard! And thanks for posting your question. In brief, you should [eat your exercise cals] OR [avoid white carbs] OR [use peanut butter to make up cals] OR [whatever a common answer might be].
This question has been discussed before, in the following topics:
[link to thread]
[link to another thread]
[link to a third thread]
You may find some useful information there. Also, feel free to use the search button at the top to find more such topics.
Best of luck, and see you on the chatboards!

Press POST REPLY, and you are done!
As others have said, it's not worth clicking on a topic if you feel it's redundant. Anyway, these topics fly by so fast that it's only there for a few minutes, and then it's gone, off the radar screen and you never have to see it again!
Best of luck, and see you on the chatboards! :happy:0 -
I would venture to say that almost every new thread that is created is a copy of one that was posted before. You should probably just lock the board I guess.0
-
Edit: Never mind. I realized my comment was a bit rude and shouldn't be said.0
-
Op - I expect every single post you ever started from inception was one made after you had used the search function first?
Anyway who died and made you moderator??
What a horribly unfriendly attitude you have. If other people's posts are ones you feel are often asked don't bother to read them. I doubt you have much to offer in the way of reply anyway. As others have said on here anyway, just about every question has been asked before and the search function doesn't always cover it.
Perhaps when you've grown up you'll gain a bit of compassion and empathy. Here's hoping! :flowerforyou:0 -
Please utilize it. That is all.
Why do people get so worked up about this... seriously!!! sometimes its nice to have fresh ideas.. or people like to have the conversations so starting a new post about it is what works...
get over it! no one is forcing you to click on the link and read it LMAO!0 -
Does TOM make you gain weight? Anyone know? Please!! Because I noticed I gained 0.264 lbs0

I think you'll find this is not the first post like this....maybe you should followed your own advice and you could have saved people from reading another moaning post!
ROFL .... TRUE TRUE :-)0 -
OMGZ BUMPZZZZ!!:flowerforyou:0

Guessing somebody's had a long week. By the way, does anybody know if you should eat your exercise calories?0 -
Could you not have used the search function to find other topics about the search function?0
