Hey everyone! So I started MFP about 22 days ago... and at first was all whatever see what happens but the past week I have really changed up how I eat and doing at least 30-60 minutes of workout a day instead of my usual 30.... I have been eating healthier... less processed foods, lean meat (chicken) tuna, eggs usually whole but sometimes egg whites :) Whole wheat everything! At least 2 liters of water a day... BUT I CAN'T SEEM TO WANNA FIT FRUIT IN ANYWHERE. I am not one of those people who can grab and apple wash it an just eat it... I have to peel it and slice it up. A banana is okay but after a while I get sick of them... I use to love Kiwis and Strawberries and Pineapple and now whenever I try and eat them it is like I have to choke them down... Is something wrong with me? I still love vegetables. Steemed, Fried (bad) , Boiled etc even raw.. well most of them! What should I do

Sugar goals pertain to added sugar not natural sugars found in natural whole foods......enjoy your fruit. If you don't like fruit, you won't be missing anything (nutrients) if your consuming a fresh assortement of vegetables.

If you don't like fruit then why are you eating it?

have you been eating greek yogurt? it is great with berries and a little sweetner. Other then that, smoothies are great, a frozen banana and some mangos with water and a packet of stevia is awesome! So much better then what you would buy at the store.

It doesn't look like this is what she's concerned about, more that she doesn't want to eat fruit for some reason?

Anyhow, if you don't want fruit by all means don't eat fruit. If you're staying high on your veggie intake you'll still be getting valuable nutrients from them. Although a piece of fruit may be beneficial, it is not vital if your getting the nutrients elsewhere.

I think the smoothie idea is an excellent one. I make smoothies when I feel like I'm not eating enough fruit. My favorite one is to put one banana in the blender along with a scoop of protein powder and one packet of Stevia sweetener (natural sweetener), ice and some water and just blend it up until it's smooth and frosty. It's so delicious. You can add other fruit to like strawberries, blueberries, peaches or whatever you have on hand. This is a great way to get all the benefits of eating fruit without that yuck feeling from having to choke it down.

    Give it a try!

Your mouth would be the easiest and most common orifice to fit fruit into.

I saw better results without fruit in my diet. Alot of sugars and if youre trying to get really toned youre probably better off without them

You don't have to eat fruit to eat healthy. You can get the same fiber and nutrients in other foods.

Okay I didn't give many details.. I like fruit love it even, pineapple strawberries, apples, oranges, kiwis, pomegranite, cherry's, grapes... but ever since I started eating less fat food .. I don't have cravings for fruit like I did before and don't really want them as much.

Fruit is optional and how you feel about fruit consumption will probably change going forward. I wouldn't worry about it and like i said before you will get all the nutrients that are in fruit from pother sources anyway.

Buy some cut up fruit and use it when you need a snack. Or as dessert.

I hardly eat fruit and it's been this way for quite sometime. I get sick if I eat a high carb diet BUT I've been trying my hardest to put in frozen berry medley into my diet. Like this morning I had sugar free silk milk with a scoop of whey protein powder and a half cup of frozen berry medley (blueberries/rasberries/ etc on the berries).
Maybe try frozen or the small fruit snacks you can just open and eat instead of struggling with what you are, and when you do have time and if you can then eat fresh fruit on the days you have more time to prepare them the way you like.
I wish you well. Let us know how it's going. I myself am interested because I have such a hard time eating fruits and other carbs high in sugar (even healthy sugars).
Merry Christmas and new year! ~Dee

    I don't know... I've seen some things... ;)

Anyway, smoothies are tasty. Or you could start incorporating fruits into meat dishes. Apple glazed pork chop, orange chicken, etc.
