So when do you take your decorations down??
I'm the day after Christmas girl and get some flack about that from friends and family.
How about yourself?

Day after for sure. I have to get my bike back in the living room!0

New Years Day at night. I have a hard time putting them away, but justify keeping them up until then because it is still the holiday season! :laugh:0

Sometime before the new year.0

we won't be home until the 30th, so then is a good time. I want my living room back to normal and the tacky decorations away.0

Generally, right around New Years', but this year my daughter is bringing her kids in the third week of January, so we are extending it by a lot!0
-
Usually New Years Day. Although, I have been known to not even put out decorations on years when the hubs isn't around to help.0

Why bother taking them down at all? Christmas will be back again next year.0

Take them down? Why would I do that? I keep those mothers up all year then just put new ones over the top of the burned out ones. Waste of time to take them down when I know I'm just gonna put them back up next year.
Hahaha... couldn't help myself!0 -
Not until January 6th-ish. After the 12 days of Christmas are over. I love the decorations & lights, so I don't mind leaving them up for a while.0

I take the decorations down a few days after Christmas. But the tree and lights come down after New Years.0

I don't decorate for Christmas.0

I have some Halloween decorations still up. My purple lights and silver skull tinsel....:blushing:0

Some time in January, but I would happily leave them up until Spring.0
-
Whenever I get back from Xmas things and done with hanging out with friends back in town for the holiday, I guess.0
-
I only decorate the mantle, put up a nativity scene & of course the tree, no hanging decorations or lights, nothing to invasive or space consuming so ours stay up till the weekend after new year.0

I'm usually the day after. My mom though, starts in the afternoon on Christmas Day. EVERYTHING is gone by the end of the day.

New Year's or week of/after that. I also decorate the day after Thanksgiving. I want it to last for as long as possible!0

Usually take them down about a week after Christmas. This year, we moved into a new apartment and just put our tree up yesterday, so I told my boyfriend we are keeping it up through January. We'll see0

We also leave them up until the Epiphany. My mom calls it Three King's day.0 -
January 2nd. I leave my halloween ones up year round.0

I get tired of the clutter so ASAP. The tree will be the first to go because it takes up 1/2 my dining room!0

New Year's Eve the decorations come down. It doesn't take that long, we still enjoy the festivities that night, and we start the new year all fresh and clean. Great start if you ask me.0

Is it horrible that I haven't even put my Christmas Decor up yet? I mean my tree is up, but it's 80+ degrees today (and it has been around there for the last few weeks!) It just doesn't seem "Christmas-y?" I'm over Florida0

First week in January. Husband usually wants them down by then. It will depend on the weather. If you have to break ice to get them down , forget it! We have let the snow bury some things, usually found by the end of January.0
