Hi all,
My name is Jacque and I have been with the green team since it started. We have dwindle in size and would like to invite anyone who wants to make a change in their life.
We have a great team and have seen each other thru good and bad times!!
We would like to make a fresh start so everyone can start at the same time. Oldies and Newbies who decided to join us if from other team can put their stats in signiture line from when they first started their personal journey.
I think if we can get every one to post starting weights on Friday, I will try to develope a table to use. I will do the list in ABC order and I will start the first week. After that I think it would be great if every week we go down the list and that person will give us our challage and keep the communication open for that week. Becuase lets face it there will be times where everyone will be busy. And if you can not do your week ask a friend to step in for you. That way there is always somebody there for anyone in need!!

What exactly does joining the team do for a person? What do we have to put into it?0

It gives support, some place to vent or seek advice, We set up challenge for the week and try to give reconigtion when needed. We do a weekly weight in. It gives a person a sense of owership to their goals. So you can stop "I'll start on Monday". And for some of us new freinds. We only ask that everyone pitch in, Like on your week you come up with a challenge for the team and keep the convertation going on the tread for that week. This is to avoid only one person doing it all.0

I want to go green but I have no clue how to. I'm brand new here and I want to join a team and find some supportive friends.....just don't know how to do much of anything other than enter my food and exercise, and I'm pretty slow at that. MFP seems like a good thing!0

Hey Greenies!! and anyone who wants to join!!
Ok first weight in wil be Friday morning!! I hope to get a chart going so we can all see who on the Team. Thursday night I will start a new Thread that Reads New Green Team Week 1That way Who ever weights in first on Friday can post their numbers. Will have your numbers put into a chart and post as soon as I can. Work permitted.
For the first challenge I am going to use one I done before only because its a hard one for me
FOR WEEK ONE LET EVERYONE TRY TO GET IN 2-3 SERVING OF FRUIT A DAY, JUICE IS GOOD BUT A SERVING IS 1/2 CUP WITH JUICE.
You can report daily, every other day or at the end of week. When week 2 comes we will have the first person on the list give the team a callenge and keep track for that week. YOU DO NOT need to make a table or graph just keep tab on computer or paper like I do and let us know how people are doing thru the week. So you have time to come up with something, It can be food, exercise, drinking water, or recording something everyday that might be useful. Please remember its all right if you can't do your week, just let us know on Friday so someone else can do it and maybe you can do on their week. We will work out the bugs as we go along. See everyone on Friday with weights. In the mean time get to know each other on the thread0 -

hi, where o where did our green team go???? i am bummed you guys!! :sad: jacque, thanks for getting this new thread up and going, and i am so happy with all the newbies!! welcome to GREEN TEAM! i think the name was originally created by N2DFIRE, and for no real reason, just a color that was not being used, and was formed Jan 21. so, a few of us have remained, but most have moved on. i sure hope it is that the gang is just busy with their lives right now, and soon they will be back. geeez, just when i was getting to know ya all!

hi kitn621!! glad to have you on board here! what a special day coming for you....a June bride? :flowerforyou: there is tons of information on MFP, so if you have time, really surf the topics! if not, just ask, some of us here might be able to help. i am a school bus driver and try to get on at least once a day.....kinda busy here lately tho with the year winding down as i have been doing afternoon/evening activity track driving and day field trips.10 1/2 days and we're done! YEEE HAW!! we wish you nothing but the best and all success on this journey! you can do it, and we will be here for you!! can't wait to get to know you! let the wt loss begin!

ok, i know i just posted a few hrs ago....but i HAVE to share this......i just jogged my FIRST EVER mile!! EVER!! i am so happy with myself and how much i have improved physically! i never thought in a zillion years that i would jog a mile, let alone at 43 yrs!! i knew i was getting very close to it, since i have been doing a walk/jog for almost 2 mos now, i just kept telling myself today, keep going, go, go, I CAN DO THIS......AND I DID!! :happy: to all of you.....you are stronger than you imagine and much more capable than you give yourself credit for......push yourself, each and every day! goals and accomplishments that will sustain your motivation!!0

Let me start by intorducing myself to our new members!
My name is Holly, I am 30 yo, I live near Philadelphia, PA, I have been on MFP since february, and it has provided great support for me. Since i started my weight loss journey in January 2008, I have lost 32lbs! I am getting Married in June 2010, and i am determined to look amazing for my wedding.
One Tip for the new members of the team, Keep in mind, your journey is what you make of it....If you put nothing in, you will get nothing out. If you put everything in, what you want will be yours. You did not gain weight overnight, therefore you cannot realistically expect to lose it overnight as well. We all fall short every now and then, but we just have to get back up and start again, and kepp starting until it sticks!
