Net Calorie and Calorie Deficit Concerns

Hello,
MFP says that the calorie goal for weight loss is 1200 calories minimum, but after researching, I have found that for women it is actually 1500. Just wondering, is 1500 net calories low enough to lose weight? I am not sure whether exercise is taken into account with this calorie goal or not.Or do you have to eat 1500 calories even when you exercise? If I burn 500 calories, should I eat 2000 calories on that day? Would I still lose a pound a week? 2000 calories seems like too much to eat to lose weight...
Any additional information would be great!

It all depends on your height and current weight. 1200 is actually too much for me because I'm so short.0

For everyone it is different. I eat about 1/2 of my exercise cals back if I want them. Listen to your body.0
