Not eating enough?

I got a little notice on my food log saying I wasn't eating enough calorie wise. I feel like I eat sooo much, you can see from my logs I eat 3 full meals with fruits in between so what am I doing wrong? Should I up my portion size? The portions I give myself make me full and satisfied and I don't want to over eat. My calorie goal is at 1400 and today I ate around 1300. I workout everyday whether its taking my dog for a one hour walk, playing my fitness video game or going to the gym but I dont really WANT to eat those calories back. I have about 80-90 pounds to lose.

Dont worry about it, I rarely meet my calorie goal. As long as you feel full and satisfied, and eat enough so your body doesnt go into starvation mode, you will be fine, and youll lose faster.0

If you eat too little, your body will hoard fat because it thinks there's a famine.
If you make your food diary public, we might be able to see where you can sneak a few extra calories in.0 -
i get that same notice thingy every day, but i always feel like ive eaten too much0

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Remember it's a guide, it's not set in stone. Keep in mind that if we're really honest we all probably underestimate our calories that we're putting in. And I'd be listening to your body there too. If you're eating balanced, healthy meals, and they're honestly leaving you feeling satisfied then I'd go with that. You're probably on the right track.0

That warning comes on when you eat below 1200..0

It would be interesting to see your diary. Are you eating whole foods (ie. not low fat)? If you don't eat enough, you will start losing muscle as well as fat. Less muscle = lower metabolism = weight gain. I would suggest eating back about 60-80% of your calories. If you are looking for ideas for what to eat, try calorie dense foods such as natural peanut butter, avocado and so on, they are good for you.0

Mfp has already factored in a calorie deficit for you, so the idea is that extra calories 'earned' from exercise are supposed to be eaten, so the deficit isn't too big. If you eat too little for too long, you risk stalling your progress. It would help if you could open up your food diary...0

Thanks for all the replies! I just found this site a couple of days ago so still figuring it out but I think that I made it public. Feel free to check it out and let me know where I can improve. I did get a food scale though so I have been weighing all my portion sizes.0
