HRM question

I just recently purchased a Polar FT7 heart rate monitor. I've had a blast playing around with it and being vigilant of what my heart rate and calories burned are constantly.

I've worn it while sleeping. From whatnive gathered that's the beat indicator of your BMR, right? According to a few different tests and calculations, I would burn approximately 1700 calories if I did absolutely nothing but sleep for 24 hrs straight.

My question: how should I log this?

Any tips/advice would be GREATLY Appreciated !

This is not what HRMs are designed for, however most people are curious to do this when they 1st get one. Basically Bmr is about 1 cal per minute of exercise, so if you do an hour just deduct 60 cals. X
  • I don't plan on wearing it every day, but I've always been curious how many calories I burn at work. I'm on my feet and moving the whole time.
