Who else is running a 1000+ Year?

Looking for some MFP friends who are shooting for 1,000 miles or more of running in 2012. I ran 1,015 miles in 2011 and my goal for 2012 is 1,112 miles, which will include 1 marathon and 2 - 3 half marathons. Please add me if you'd like to join me in the run!

We're already friends, but just wanted to tell you that this year I'm going to add up how many miles I run, I've never done that before!
EDIT: In my marathon training alone, which is 18 weeks but started the first week of Dec 2011, I'll run 486.3 (counting the marathon), so I think I'll be able to run 1,000 in 2012 for sure! (If I count just what training I'll have done in 2012, I'll have 407.3 by April 8, 2012.)0 -

I didn't start running again until June of last year but I did about 600 miles from June through December so I think I can do 1000 this year.0

Another "already a friend" but, I squeaked out 1000 miles this year, and will try to do so again in 2012.0

I plan on 1000 this year. I probably ran close to that this past year but didn't keep track. This year I am. My other goal is a 50 mile trail race in September.0

I'll see your 1,000 and raise you another 1,400 - 1,600.
I hope to hit 1,000 by the end of May.

I am hoping to run 1000+ miles. I started running June of last year and completed my first half marathon. I am training for my 2nd in February and plan to do 1-2 more in 2012.0

I am hoping I can pull out 1.000 miles this year, knee willing. Already planning on several races and logging the miles in the new year!!!0

I'm going for more than 1000. From June-December of 2011 I got in 924 miles.0

I'm looking for more than 1000 this year. Probably 1200-1500, barring unforeseen injuries etc. Last year I ran about 750, and that was with almost three months of no running due to a NRR back problem, so I think 1200-1500 is doable this year.0

I'm hoping to hit 1,000 but I've fallen in love with swimming and cycling as well, so I've slowed down on the runs.0

I set 1000 as my goal, and hope to complete it easily. Started running in a disciplined way this year and really love it. Planning on 100 in January to start the year off right. Would love to have more hard-running friends0

Aiming at 1200+ for 2012. I have several trail half marathons and maybe a trail marathon planned.0

Hi,
I would love to get back to 1000 miles this year. I would like to add the 1000 milers as friends. I ran 5 marathons and several halfs six years ago, but then went to grad school and had ankle surgery (injury from training for a marathon in 2009) and just got back to running after two rounds of physical therapy. My first goal is to run a half marathon on March 18. Hopefully, friends will help me stay motivated.

I am sooooo in! Maybe walking 1000 instead of running. Being a "senior," the pavement is no friend of my knees, so walking, biking, etc works much better for me......less chance of injury0

I'm aiming for 1000 and hoping to run my first half marathon soon! I'm still a fairly new runner since I started getting serious back in July. Adding you as a friend now!0

This has been my goal for the last three years...I also start out strong for the first several months and then fizzle out....this year it's happening, dammit!0

I just started running last year, and did my first half in November. I'm going to try and hit 1,000 miles this year, but not sure it'll be all running. I'm going to track both running and all other modes and see what happens.0

The last 3 Years I have hit just over 1,100. This year I want to Increase it a little more, 1250 sounds good. If i'm in the U.S. and not deployed I will be doing a trail 50k just before Christams.
Plenty of Halfs trail and road, with some 20,25,30ks sprinkled in while it's still cool this winter.0 -
I have joined the "marathon a week" group over at runningahead. basically you have 7 days to run 26.2 miles after a year you should be at 1367 miles!

I'm going to try as well! I covered 542 in the last half of 2011, and for my marathon in April I'll be running a total of 486... So I think it's completely doable!0

My goal was 1000 last year, got up to 1130. This year's goal is 1212, but I'll settle for less if I can stay off the injury list and keep running0

This is SO me!!! I don't like to do resolutions, but I made this goal for myself on New Year's instead... 1000 miles, baby... I KNOW I can do this!
I'm planning probably 2 half's, a 25k and hopefully a full marathon this year among some smaller distance races fit in there. I burned through 2 pairs of running shoes last year so I figured I could just start fresh and try for more this year!!! I also want to start doing more trail running... did it once and it was FUN!0 -

I run over 1000+...I average about 120 miles a month, some months more ( March I was at 150 miles), some less ( this month only 100)...I have 2 1/2 marathons and many 5k's to do...
Needless to say, I go thru running shoes every 3 months or so!0
