Calling all Bridesmaids for 2012!

I am also a Bridesmaid this year!!

I love, love, love the bride to be and could not be more excited to be in her wedding. However, when she initially asked my first thought went to, "How am i going to look up there??" So, just like you I've decided to get motivated!!

Her wedding is the first week of May (Cinco de Mayo actually) and I graduate from graduate school 6 days after that. I want to look wonderful and feel confident. So, @farmers_daughter, I'm with ya!! Let's keep each other motivated

I'm not sure the wedding I'm going to this year has bridesmaids but I'm considering myself an honorary one since the bride is one of my closest friends. It will be a reunion of a lot of my friends from HS so I'm using that as motivation to get in shape. So while I don't exactly fit in the category I'm not too far off. Feel free to friend me!

I am the maid of honor for my best friend on June 30, and would like to lose at LEAST 40 pounds by then. We are dress shopping this weekend, and I am not looking forward to it! I would love to be able to wear a dress size that I am not embarrassed by! I need motivation, and support, because I am not really all in, but want to be so badly! I need help! Lets do this!

I'm a bridesmaid for a wedding in September. I have no idea what the dresses will look like, but I have love handles enough to go around so I would love to too good in what ever dress is chosen!

I'm a bridesmaid for September 2012! It will be my 6th time I think...I'm beginning to lose track. I have a feeling my life is like 27 Dresses. Anyway, I've got 41 lbs to lose to be at my goal weight, and I intend on being pretty darn close to that in September which means I've got to lose 5 lbs a month. I'm single again, so I want to be super cute for my cousin' big day. Her fiance has lots of hot friends! Woohoo!

I will be a Matron of Honor this year (May) for the second time and in a wedding for the 4th or 5th time (including my own) i need to be HOT for this is my "skinny, big busted, beautiful" sister's wedding. im definately a tomboy that likes to workout, swim, lift weights that doesnt really care about hair or nails or makeup or clothes (at all). ive always been the son my parents never had LOL and i had gained 85 pounds over the last 5 years due to HUGE medical issues and otns of surgeries, nervous sytem disease, stroke, and obviously lazyness and LOVING comfort food haha

I am in a wedding the first weekend in May. The dress is awful...so i would like to look as good in it as possible.

This made me LOL at my desk.

I am in my law school BFF's wedding on May 12 and my college BFF's wedding on May 25. May 12 wedding attire is any black cocktail dress and terrible shoes. There are 9 bridesmaids and I've always been one of the heaviest of the group, but this time I want to be one of the hottest! The May 25 wedding is a very fitted red poly satin which shows every lump and bump, and the bride is tiny and I'm afraid of looking like a giant tomato next to her. I have my work cut out for me!

I am my sisters MOH in her September wedding. I'm aiming to lose 60lb by my birthday in August so as a plus I'll look great for her wedding. She has Cyan, Electric Blue and Indigo as her colours (for the grammar nazi's that word is not spelt wrong I'm an Aussie and we spell it with an U) for BM dresses and I want to do justice to the dress, plus the groom's sister hates me and I wanna look better then her. She is mad she isn't MOH and has already made snide comments on how I'll look in the photos.

I'm a bridesmaid too!! For one of my best mates. The dress is GORGEOUS though so I'm really lucky in that regard. I am hoping to lose 20 kg by the wedding in October. Feel free to add me if you want! We can keep each other motivated!

I've been a bridesmaid quite a few times in the last couple years. Unfortunately most of my friends and sister decided to get married when I was at my weight high. lol By the way bridesmaid dress sizing is different than regular sizing. Be prepared for the number to be 1-2 sizes bigger. (They should totally vanity size those suckers). Do NOT order smaller thinking you will fit into it by then. Not a good idea, they can usually let out maybe an inch but alterations are very expensive and it's cheaper to take in then take all the seams out to let out. And you don't want the big day to arrive and you have to tell the bride that your dress doesn't zip. I always had a problem because I have a smallish waist and big hips so to accomodate the hips I'd have to order really big where it was falling down on top, so alteration city. My brides were usually good at letting the bridesmaids decide on dresses, we did all wear the same one but came to a consensus and she had the color and the final vote. Trying them on is hard to see what works since they usually only have gowns in size 6 or so, so they let you try it on with the back open and you can't really tell how it will fit. lol I just figure it is their pictures so if they pick dresses that make the maids look ugly, we will ruin their pictures not ours. As long as you don't "tag" me in the unflattering ones, I don't care. And spanx is hard to get on and off when you really have to pee quick.

I am co-chief bridesmaid for my twin sisters wedding on August 4th! We bought our dresses last july, they are very flattering and suit all 3 of us even though we are all completely different. I chose a uk12, I am usually a uk16 so my aim is to fit into the dress. My sister is also a bit of a bridezilla but I am forgiving her because as we share a birthday this is truly 'Her Day'

We are all so excited as she's the first to marry so I am determined to look good at her wedding! I'm growing my hair even though I love it short and I am in the process of going back to being a brunette as she doesn't want me to have red hair.

Before we bought the dresses her fiance joked that she should buy the dresses smaller than we all are and if we don't fit into them then we can't come to the wedding!

Did I mention my twin is a size uk6!!!!
