Welcome to a New Week Everyone!

Is everyone ready for another Jammin' week? The weather is FINALLY spring like here, so I'm hoping to get some running into my routine this week. Do any of you have "mini goals" for the week? Tell us about them!

Wow a whole week has gone by and I've barely posted ~ sure did miss you guys but work has been a beast this past week and I'm sure it's only going to get even more hectic in the next month as we prepare to open the new office (we're adding 120 more employees!!) It's very exciting but there are so many things to do!! This will make my 3rd go round getting an office ready to open so I'm grateful I have some experience to lean on ~ the first time was completely overwhelming!! I've worked out everyday though ~ not as much as I normally do but I've managed to minimun get the 20min in some days more ~ i've decided not to beat myself up about that and concentrate on the good news that despite the schedule change I am still committed to eating right and paying attention to my fitness.
You guys are amazing keeping up with your work outs and I am proud of all of you!

Hey Janet...been missing you girl! You must be crazy busy with work! WTG on keeping up on your routine! The way you always balance all your commitments is a real inspiration to me...and great job on you 1/2 in loss!

Amber...were you the one asking about lower body on the other thread? I think Janet mentioned Lower Body Jam...That's really a good one, but my fave is Booty Sculpt and Abs. You can get both of those from Amazon.

Have a great day everyone...I'll check in later with my workouts!

Yep that was me asking about lower body... THANKS for telling me about Amazon and thanks to Janet for telling me about the lower body jam. I will defintely check into that!

I NEED SOME WORDS OF WISDOM FROM YOU GUYS ~ I'm really nervous about this weekend. We're going to Lubbock for my Dad's wedding... I haven't gone on a trip since I've started TJ and I'm afraid that I might fall off the wagon. Everytime I start a lifestyle change and go out of town I fall off and never get back on until I gain all my weight back. :grumble: What do ya'll do when you go out of town, I really want to stay commited to this program!

Have a great week chickies!!! :glasses:

    Amber-

I'm new to this thread, but can understand the fear of falling off the wagon while you're gone. Do you have a laptop or portable DVD player you can bring? I recently had to travel for work and brought my laptop and DVD's and used that to play them and keep up on my workouts while I was out of town. I didn't quite get the full experience as I do at home, because I had limited space, but I still managed to work up a sweat and at least not break my routine. If you can, give it a try!

    Amber,
Erika has a good idea, when I travel I always take my TJ with me...if you can't though, I'd just try to some kind of exercise on the days you're gone...maybe some crunches and a walk, just to keep your routine going. But most importantly, don't stress over it! Enjoy yourself, then commit to jumping back into your routine as soon as you get back...we'll be here to help you!

I have a portable dvd player but we're going to be in a hotel and with my 3 kids I just don't see it working... We will be traveling all day on Friday and Sunday and then Saturday we'll be doing the wedding so I figure if I watch my food/snacks and maybe swim in the pool, if the hotel has a pool it might help... a walk would do me good also.

Thanks for the pep talks :drinker:

Checking today with turbo sculp, hoping to get another workout done later today!

Megan thanks for starting the thread this week. I'm having computer issues. I downloaded IE 8 and everytime I come to the site I get a window that says the internet has encountered an error and shuts down....technology

Amber traveling is always tough. First of all don't stress about it. Stress always works against weight loss. Second drink water, especially if you have 2 full days of travel you need to drink lots of water so that you can avoid that travel water weight. Third, just make good decisions. While traveling if forced to eat fast food, make smart decisions, salads, grilled chicken, Subway...whatever just be smart about it. At the wedding enjoy a piece of cake or better yet SHARE a piece of cake. It's a celebration and we have to learn to balance our everyday with the occasional special day. As for exercise, do what you can. If the hotel has a gym get on the treadmill or something, even if its just for 20 minutes. Swimming is a great full body workout. On your travel days, when/if you stop at a rest area take a couple minutes to jog around the area...every little bit helps right?
And if you don't do anything "right" this weekend, don't stress it. When you wake up Monday morning just get back to your normal healthy habits. We only sabatoge ourselves when we think of slips as well slips and falling off the wagon and the worst....failure. It really isn't any of those things. Its life and one weekend of celebration is not going to undo the LIFETIME of exercise and healthy eating habits you are working towards.
You can do it. We have faith in you. Be diligent this week and then enjoy your weekend. Can't wait for your report on Monday :)

It's going to be a very busy week at work so my posts will again be few and far between. I just wanted you to know that I'm still here  I jogged a mile this weekend. I was so proud of myself. My legs are still a little sore today but thats a good thing. Hoping to get my Jam on this morning (soon, I need to get of the dang computer). Maybe PK&J. I haven't done that one in forever.

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday....the sun is shining and they are predicting 90s today (yes I live in Idaho and we are having 90 degree weather in MAY!!!)....too hot for me, thank goodness of a/c in my car, home and office

Thanks for the support!!! I plan on only taking water, no sodas so that should work for me! As far as exercise I'm just going to squeeze in what I can and start back to my normal routine on Monday... I plan on making good decisions. We'll see what happens, I'll keep everyone posted!

Anyone who has or has done the TJ lower body dvd, can you give me the low down on it? How long it is, does it target inner thighs at all? Thanks!

Hey Everybody, hope everyone is having a fantastic Monday!! Checking in w/ 20min this am and getting ready to do 20min again + abjam and that's going to do it for today! I got on the scale a few minutes ago and I'm 1.5 lbs lighter than I was same time as yesterday ~ it's maddness ( i must be a glutton for punishment!!) oh, the crazy scale:laugh:
Glad to see all are checking in - I decided I was not going to allow myself to go all week w/o checking in~ I miss you guys.:flowerforyou:

Ronks: Lower body jam is a sculpting DVD, 40 min long, and Chalene is as fun as ever. Don't expect the bouncy energy or you'll be disappointed but in all fairness she makes strength training as fun as it possibly can be... at least for my taste. I much prefer to be jumping around and ancing/punch/kicking.
I neglect the strength training for that reason but I know I need to do it. It targets the lower body(yes, thighs) and I would see more results if I were more commited to that one, i'm sure. Doesn't generate the calorie burn of the other tj's which another thing ... I like to eat my cals:laugh:

Drevans: nice to see you and glad you're hanging in there!! Good for you on the 1 mile jog ~ you really do feel it the next day ~ don't you??! I know I sure did~ good Lord. My thighs and glutes were screamin!! Hope your week goes well and hope you get your IT issues resolved soon.

Megan: Thanks for taking the lead and starting our thread today ~ I am really interested in seeing your progress w/ CE ~ you are an inspiration. I want to try it but have to wait for "spare" bucks ~ I am socking some away though ~ maybe by then my motivation for strenght trainig will also increase,LOL!!

((((BIG HUGS)))) to All I missed ~ Keep on Jammin!!

    Hi Family,
I decided to try to include running/jogging in my routine ~ I feel a need to mix it up a little. The weather is so beautiful and I just want to be outside in the spring air. I did jog /run while I was in DC and it kicked my *kitten*!! My legs and gluts were just so incredibly sore and I felt it for 2 days after...... I kinda liked it:laugh: So I am off to do my deal and plan on abjam when I get back ~ that is such a smokin ab sequence, never found one I like better... so far!
Ronks : Great job on your work out today!! You are really doing it , girl!!! WTG, I'm proud of you!

Megan: As always, you are so committed !! You have no idea what an inspriation you are to me:heart:

Hips: Hurray!! You got your DVDs , now you'll see what all the excitement is about!! Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Kennie - I am looking for booty sculpt too... whne you find it let me know . Good luck!

Hope everyone I missed is taking good care of themselves ~ each and every one of you are worth it!

    I'm off

    Hi Everyone!
Thanks for your encouragement! :flowerforyou: You ladies are all a huge inspiration to me too!

Janet, I just saw Booty Sculpt on Amazon today...just search Turbo Jam and all of the DVD's come up. That is still one of my Fave's!

tracijo, I do 60 minute run/walks, turbo jam, and Chalean Extreme. I don't have any set schedule, although I follow the Chalean Extreme weight lifting 3x/week, and try to work out for at least 60-90 mins/ day 6 days/week, doing whatever I'm in the mood for (I try to do some ab work everyday too...I really need that) .

    Have a great evening ladies!

I don't do anything other than the TJ everyday but I started about 2.5 weeks ago so I'm sure eventually I'll feel like you do and want to do more.

I know Megan on this thread does extra besides the TJ.

    Good Luck :glasses:

Hi everyone! I've been Turbo Jamming for almost 2 years now, and I love it. It has helped me to lose 75 pounds! Ido a cardio mix every day and a S/T 3-4 days a week. Currently, I'm out of town, so I haven't been able to do as much. Monday was my rest day, Tuesday I did 3T & CPL Remix. Wednesday was an off day b/c there was no time. Today, I'm about to do CP2. I head home tomoroow, but hope to get another cardio session in tomorrow night if the driving and unpacking doesn't wear me out first. Can't wait to get to know all other Jammers!

I'm hoping to do Chalean Extreme starting in the summer.
