I'm curious what your daily calorie target is before exercise?

1,400. I'm 5'6 and 275 pounds. It was suggested it be higher but I feel very comfortable with this amount.0

I've just signed up and I'm 5ft 1 134lbs and it's telling me my normal daily activity calories burned is 1650 to lose weight I need to be eating 1200... I was curious if that was low but normally I don't get near 1650 and I can put on weight.0

I'm 5'3, 191 lbs, and my calorie goal is ~300 calories below my maintenance. On my sedentary days, maintenance is about 2000. On my work-out days, it's at about 2500, so I'm usually eating 1700 to 2200 calories per day.
Oh wait... you asked before exercise, so that would be the 1700 value.0 -
I'm almost 5'3 and am just under 180 pounds. Last week I had my calories set to 1200 and ate some extra back from exercise. This week I've changed the setting to 1350.0

Fine! I was gonna share my cupcakes.. I dunno about that now.0 -
1200 a day and I stick to it really well. Starting wt was 237 and I'm 5' 1/2". I'm down to 193.6 since June 25th. I'm very faithful to mfp and it's helped me to become very aware of what I eat and any activity. :happy:0

All I have to do is smell your cupcakes and my hips and belly get bigger! :frown:
I am now going to drink a large glass of water.... because it's so, um. SATISFYING! yes, that's it- my cold glass of water is filling, delicious and satisfying.

1800 right now (but it's because of lifting), I'm 5'5". If I need more energy I'll have to bump my cals again.0

I'm 5'10", 185lbs and I set mine to 1400. The first week and a half of 1200 was just unrealistic for me, I was starving!0

My daily goal is 2100 because of lifting. I'm 5'4" and 114 lbs.0

I'm 5'3" and 295 lbs. My goal is 1200 to 1500 calories regardless of exercise, but I'm extremely inactive. Once I'm able to increase my exercise a considerable amount (and my daily activity in general) I'll add more calories if I'm tired and/or hungry.0

I set mine at 1500 and I eat some of my exercise calories back. I am 5'8 151 lbs.0

I read for women to lose the weight the goal should be 1200. That sucks lol
But I also been told in the prison system they survive off 1200 calories daily.
So we have to man up and lose these extra pounds for 2012. We can do this!!0 -
