hey i just bout a 10 pound kettlebell that comes with a dvd (walmart $16.98!!!) and i was wondering how many calories i burned?? im 184 pounds...ive been looking on the web n i cant seem to find anything

It all depends on the intensity of the workout. My best fitness investment has been a heart rate monitor. You can get one of those and get a fairly accurate reading on your calorie burn.0

Totally depends on intensity. There is so much variety from slow simple lifts to serious dynamic cardio. If you're hitting it hard, you can exceed 1000 Calories an hour. When I do the Art of Strength kettlebell DVDs, I estimate my burn at 800 Calories an hour which I feel is realistic if not conservative.0

The MET on the HIIT is supposed to be like 6.6
I had a formula once.

I've done a couple of kettbell workouts now with my HR monitor on and doing a combo of swings, pulls and pushes and getting my HR up about 75% max I'm burning about 110 calories per 10 minutes. Hope that helps.0
