What kinda food do you eat before a workout?
Before cardio?
Before weight training?
How many cals of food before each kinda workout.
I am trying to build muscle and lose body fat so I am interested in what kind and what has worked for you.

About 45 minutes before cardio, a small/medium banana and a gummy multivitamin.0

About an hour before i teach my night ZUMBA class I eat a ZONE Fudge Graham protein bar. If none are available I go with either an apple or 6-8 triscuit crackers, and LOTS of water. If it's my morning ZUMBA class I do a peanut butter sandwich on wheat bread about 45 minutes before class.0

I almost always train on an empty stomach, but if i'm going to eat, it's at least an hour before and ALWAYS protein...carbs are post workout.0 -
PB is good too0

I eat a banana
same here...gives me fuel and not too heavy.0 -
Before cardio: nothing or a piece of fruit. If I eat anything heavier within an hour before a run, I get a cramp. My worst run ever was after a banana with peanut butter on it. I thought I would pass out, the peanut butter felt like a rock in my stomach.
Before lifting: something small and light, like whole wheat crackers with light cheese, a piece of fruit, or some nuts.
It helps that I don't usually work out in the morning, so I've always eaten something within a few hours before my workout.0 -
I don't pay attention to a certain number of calories. Usually it's something like a slice of whole wheat toast with 1TBSP of peanut butter. I stay away from heavy things like oatmeal and my stomach never feels right if I have eggs.0

I usually workout on an empty stomach....first thing in the am at 5 am.....or if I workout later on the weekends, I will have a carb and a protein. To build muscle and lose fat, eat about 100 g of protein a day, and plenty of fruits, veggies and high fiber carbs.....you will see a huge difference! Plenty of water too! Good luck!!0

I juice three celery sticks, one carrot, two apples and a cucumber and drink it about 30 min. before working out.0

My trainer says banana before cardio and protein after strength training to repair the muscle fibers.0

I make sure I have had lots of carbs in the day as a run up (ususally train about 3 in the afternoon) then about twenty mins before I go I have:
1 tuna shake
25ml grapfruit juice with creatine, beta alanine, wheatgrass powder, cod liver oil
1 apple in the car on the way over
But then i like training on a full stomach.
