Female question

I should know the answer to this by now but I just need reassurance. I've been on the birth control called Yaz since November, right after I had my son. I don't get a monthly on it for some reason except for a few traces of it. My question is, with this birth control and not having a period, would I still get the water retention and bloating that goes with it?? B/C I know I didn't gain 2lbs in 1 day!! Or at least I hope not.

Weight can easily fluctuate up to 7 lbs in a day, so your 2 lb difference might be because you had a little too much salt yesterday or too little water, or you could be experiencing hormonal fluctuations, which b/c can cause. Relax.

You can lose or gain several pounds in a single day so that is normal (which is why they suggest not weighing yourself everyday). That's all basically water weight. You should try to weigh yourself once a week, at the same time, and naked.

I can't help you with the birth control pills....I have an IUD and since I got it put in, I never get my period any more (also combined with PCOS). I still sometimes get bloating and cramps, though....and water weight gain when it would normally be my time of the month.

    Sorry I couldn't help more.

    Good luck to you!!!

I no longer have periods because of surgery, but still have all my "parts"... I still get the bloating and gain from 3 to 7 lbs. when "it" comes. Drink lots of water and don't weigh yourself until you are done ;)
