How often do you weigh yourself?

I usually weigh in about once a week. However, I haven't weighed myself since Christmas because i know I gained some back and don't want to discourage myself. I've been working hard and eating right again for about the last week or so and plan on weighing myself next week.

Same as yourself once a week.0

Every day. I like to see how what I did the day before (or even the day before that) affects my weight. Through this, I've learned that I can expect about a 1.5 weight gain when I do leg day at the gym and that drinking too much alcohol makes me lose weight the next day but increases my weight the two days after that.
That being said, I don't obsess over small gains and as long as the trend is downwards, it's all good.0 -
I have only just started but im going to do it once a week, wouldnt want to get too obsessed with it0

Every day... i too like to see how my previous day food intake affected me.0

I weigh every day. That usually keeps me on track, but everyone is different. If you're easily discouraged, you should weigh yourself once a week.0

Once a week, preferably at the same time of the day with the same type of clothing on.0

Once a week, have been doing it on Mondays, but I think I am going to change to Fridays. I am just maintaining my weight at this point and it's becoming frustrating.0

Once a week. Sometimes, twice.0

I try to every day. That way I can tell if I am getting off track and need to focus more on calorie intake.0

Once a week. Friday morning before breakfast.0

First thing Sunday morning; it discourages me from Saturday temptations.
When i go on maintenance, I'll weigh each morning so I can adjust my food and exercise if needed.0 -
Every single morning. After I pee, before I drink or eat anything. Naked, yes, no clothes whatsoever. This gives you your true body weight. Only record it once or twice a week though and be careful not to get discouraged with the daily fluctuations. The up and downs on the scale can be caused by anything! Remember the overall goal, and as long as it continues to go down, you're golden. Weighing every single day really keeps you in better tune with your body.0

^^^ THIS!! I too, have the same experience with alcohol...fun the day after seeing the loss, but I know it's short-lived :sad:0 -
I used to weigh everyday but then I would get obsessed and my day would be based on a number on the scale instead of what I have been doing. So now I weigh on Friday - just to see where I am at - I don't enter on MFP - but use this as motivation to stay with it over the weekend and it also allows me to see if I can have a little treat (staying within the diary - but something that I usually wouldn't eat during the week) or if I need to stay really strict over the weekend. I do my official weigh in on Tuesday - gives me time to flush any excess sodium from weekend on Monday. :flowerforyou:0

I weigh every day because I am a little obsessed but I only record in on my "offical" weigh-in day which is Tuesdays0

I weigh in every day but I only record once a week, which is every Tuesday. I want to start a new approach where I only weigh in twice a month. Every other tuesday to see significant results.0

Same here. I weigh everyday. Sometimes twice a day. I like to watch patterns and what makes it move up or down. When I was on vacation in August I actually bought a scale. It works for me and keeps me accountable. I only post it once a week though.0 -
I weigh myself once a week on Sunday in the morning.0

Daily - after I wake and again after morning workout. I see as much as a 1 1/2-2 lb daily change, but that way, if I see a trend over a couple of days, I pay attention.0

i try not to weigh myself often. i used to be obsessed. but for me, it's not so much about the number but how i feel. i only really weigh when i go to the doc or when i feel like i've put on weight. :]0

i try to weigh myself every morning before i eat anything..and i've lost about 3 or 4 pounds in the last two weeks so i'm really hoping this helps me keep my goal!!0

About every other day. It becomes an obsession with me. The progress is extremely encouraging, but if i'm up, it depresses me.0

Everyday first thing in the morning. I only update when It is a new low.
Good luck!0 -
