Sweets after meals

Hi everyone,
If this post should really go into a different category, let me know and I'll delete and start it there. Anywho, I usually want something sweet after meals (not like a whole ice cream cone just a taste of something) but I'm finding it hard to keep my calories down to allow for it. What do you guys do to curb the sweet tooth after meals? I know some people chew gum, but are there any other strategies I could try?
Thanks!

Love this question, I have the same issue! Please suggestions!0

I have Skinny Cow ice cream bars or Edys Slow Churn Yogurt Blend ice cream nearly every night after dinner. Skinny cow is as low as 100 calories per serving and Edys is around 120 calories for 1/2 cup. Fruit is also good way to calm the sweet tooth.0

Dove dark chocolate promises.
I found if I eat less carbs and more veggies at dinner my cravings are not as bad. Just a thought.0 -
I have a terrible sweet tooth. Altoids do it for me.0

Weight watchers frozen desserts. So sweet and rich, you really do forget they're low fat/calorie. They're pretty big too0

A couple (or many more if I'm going to be honest) Hershey's Kisses. They are about 20-25 calories apiece depending on the variety.0

1 or 2 squares of dark chocolate.
Red berries or grapes.
1 tbsp of Nutella

Mixed diced fruit. I won't just eat an apple - I cut up a banana and a nectarine and add some (canned in juice) peach slices to sweeten it a little more, then mix it up and eat it! Or 'coz it's hot here at the moment - frozen grapes or watermelon pieces. Even pineapple (fresh or canned in juice). Maybe a smoothie?
If it's a serious chocolate craving: Lindt balls - but no more than 2 - kill the craving for me in moments as it's a bit of overkill. Quite high in fat (6g fat and 77cals per ball) though, but worth it if choc craving is strong.
Sometimes an iced tea will be enough (Nerada lemon lime iced tea sachets - 76 cals, less than 1g fat).0 -

Exactly and trust me I have a RAGING sweet tooth0 -
Also I think of my favorite quote, " Never sacrifice what you want most of all for what you want right now"0

I have a tablespoon of chocolate peanut butter or chocolate almond butter after dinner almost every night. I use it as my fat source AND it curbs my chocolate cravings.

I really do not want to live a life where I can not eat a sweet treat, especially chocolate. I have found that if I eat a(meaning 1) skinny cow chocolate truffle bar between 30 and 45 minutes after my last meal, that will not only satisfy my urge for something sweet, it will also satisfy me the rest of the evening.0

I like cocoa roasted almonds, but they are not low calorie.0

Three musketeers minis are what I keep in my fridge.0

You can try a Clementine...they are small, juicy and sweet! Or look in the frozen food section and there are some low calorie, low sugar ice-cream treats. I like a Biscotti...the ones at Costco are small. I have that with a cup of tea or coffee and it satisfies. I also buy Ghiradelli 72% Dark Chocolate at Target. I allow myself just one square. Hope this helps. Good luck!0

Weight Watchers ice creams are awesome. They are very tasty, individually packaged and about 40 calories each.0

Forgot some hot things....
green apple sliced with a little bit of brown sugar sprinkled over (or honey), sultanas and microwaved
air popped popcorn with a little icing sugar
Chai latte (Lipton - 110 cals, 3.4g fat).0
