It will go just might take some time. I lost 90 pound over the last 3 years and there is a big difference in that area. Just stick to the plan you have set for yourself and you will see the result all over :)

    Don't be embarrased :)

My personal worry is my boobs. I like them at the moment, and if i could keep them like this and change everything else, that would be awesome, but i'm so scared they're gonna just look like empty carrier bags :(

Does anyone have experience with this at all?

I have this issue!! UGH!! I have NO boobs at all. When I was fat they were "ok" but now that I'm losing weight its the first thing that disappeared!! Plus I'm 40 so gravity is NOT my friend!! haha.... But I've noticed that pushups really help in that department!

I am not exactly sure what you mean by "pubic fat" but I can say that I've gotten lean pretty much everywhere and, although this is definitely a delicate topic and I don't want to go too into detail, I will say that my husband has commented that it feels different/better down there now.

    RE: boobs

I still have enormous breasts, but I am in the minority and even mine have "deflated" - however, smaller droopy boobs are much better than dealing with the health risks of obesity.

Unfortunately that is exactly what mine did! I think I am going to get them surgically corrected when I finish losing weight. I have lost a cup size already and they just hang limply like pancakes.. ugghhhh...

Yes :( I had perfect (in my opinion) boobs before, have lost an entire cups size, maybe a bit more.

I think I'll get them fixed when I'm all done though :)
  • It definitely goes away. I used to have it too. Still some but not nearly as bad. Don't be embarrassed.

You should try doing push ups and exercice that tones the boob muscles! :)
Have to love the boobs!!! ;)

Stick with it, it pays off in the end. It takes patience and exercise. BTW, say goodbye to your boobs! lol

  • It just depends...Some women just carry a lot of fat there. When I was thin I was a D...When I was at my heaviest almost 420 at 5ft3 frame when i lost the first weight of 190 (i gained 40 back after gallbladder surgery) I had some saggy but I have also nursed 5 kids. It is really not bad at all exercise that area and again I mention progesterone creme. I swear by it. You can rub it on your breasts and it helps them be firmer. It helps regulate periods for those that have bad periods too. Only get it however at the health food store make sure it is a natural organic one.

Yes, the pube fat will diminish... along with the rest of the fat on your body as you lose weight.

As to the boobs, do chest work... dumbbell butterflies, bench press, etc. Build up the pectoral muscles on the upper chest and your boobs won't look like deflated balloons. My trainer is constantly amazed that at 48 yrs old, and 120 lbs lost, that my boobs aren't sagging. However, I have gone down from a DD to a C/D (depending on cut of the bra).

I've always felt like I was fat there... even when i wasn't fat. lol I feel better knowing that no one can see it. hhaha. Dont fret. As long as everything else looks good.

For me, no it didn't go away, but I always had a belly flap - c-section pregancy deliveries. I've been told by many including Drs if you lose over 100 pounds, loose skin will always be an issue. But, don' t let that deter you from your weight loss goals. The younger you are, the more elasticity your skin has. Spanx and other shapewear are also good to wear when you're working out to keep the skin firm instead of letting it jiggle and keep stretching. I had a belly fat removal - I didn't need lipo because all it was by the time I lost 160 pounds was just skin and it cost about $8,000. I saved my pennies (and unwanted calories) for 5 years in order to afford it. Hope this helps!
  • The first time I ever lost a "significant" amount of weight I noticed in difference in Intercourse and I talked to my Gyn about it she told me that the heavier you are the "tighter" you are because of the fat in the pelvic region and that it is not uncommon to notice a difference in intercourse and that it might almost feel like (for lack of a better description) that there is nothing even going on...because of the loss of fat in the pelvic area...I remember her telling me that she had some women that were over 400 pounds and she could barely do an exam on them because they were so "tight" and that she had 90 pound women that she could stick a whole arm up (I really couldn't believe how candid she was with me lol)....I came home and told my husband that maybe I should just regain the fat for both of our sakes lol....

I know that doesn't the OP question but just kind of an FYI for those that might be experiencing something similar and too afraid to ask!

That is odd because I definitely feel "tighter" there since I shed the weight (both my own perspective and my hubby's observations). Maybe because of all of the exercise and muscles? I didn't just lose fat, I got pretty strong everywhere.

LOL This is a sensitive subject for some.

    * Note: Lower belly fat is not FUPA.

It is called FUPA (ask me later or Google) for a reason before you lose weight ! So assuming we are talking about the FUPA , then YES it can go away (genetics etc play a role here).

Mine has gone away and looks like a brand new.. umm.. V. In fact, after some much needed and vigorous banging, it bruises. Yes, bruises! It hurts now because there is no cushion. Pro vs Cons.. I will take the bruising over the latter any day.
