What I hate is people dont even bother to read my profile,it says right there that I am a freak who loves blow up dolls and porn so you know what your getting into when you add me. But it never fails someone will add me delete me a week later with a message saying I freaked them out or all my fetish talk was too much...ect ect its actually pretty funny so i guess i dont hate it too much

it must clearly state it to people that are already your friends, because to everyone else, it's 100% private.

I used to have the whole "No message, no accept" verbage on my wall until I realized if my profile is visable to friends only, the people FR'ing me won't see it :noway:

I just randomly request friends and I never add a message. Accept it or not. Quit complaining about EVERYTHING!

I need to build up my fan base. ;)

im not complaining...its jus polite to tell someone why you wish to be friends with them...... im here for support in fitness and encouragement, tho ive made awesome friends along the way keeping my list small and kinda intimate....

I realized I was doing this as well... my profile says "send a message with your FR... blah blah blah"... yet my profile was private, so they can't see that to begin with.

It has hence been fixed since...

Not visible here. :) Everyone won't be able to see it as long as your profile is visible to friends only.

Mine are an elite group of friends kinda like marines.........The few the proud the Bros
  • Good to know! I am new. Well, kind of. I am really off and on, but am determined to stay this time! So I sent (and received) some friend requests without a message just to try to build some sort of support system. Hopefully no one took offense to my no message friend request! But it seems a lot of people agree with your statement that there should be a message, which I am glad to know for future requests :)

I always try to send a note. Because it seems like the non-stalker thing to do.... or wait... maybe I've got that wrong...

I pretty much accept everyone that requests me.

I do go back and delete people that have not made an effort to be supportive or comment or anything.
I do this too. I give everyone an equal opportunity to be deleted or blocked at a later date if necessary. Lol. Although I've only ever deleted people for inactivity.....*shrug*

I don't necessarily decline for no message. But a nice ego stroking will usually result in an automatic accept. :blushing:

I would be happy to stroke you, and I'm already your friend.

I can never see where stroking could be a bad thing.

    Dinner with the parents?
  • I found this more troublesome when I had a profile picture and I would get tons of requests with no message on days my pic was "risque".

Since I no longer have a face, I have not received any FR's. Guess you could do that if you don't want any new friends

I have noticed that the more risque the pics are, the more friends people have. Guess that's why I don't get many friend requests because I have my dog's picture up. Then again, maybe if I put a picture of myself up, I would get less friend requests. LOL

What they can't see from across the table won't hurt them.

My MFP folks know I'm an NDB, so chances are if you don't compliment my humor or my results, you ain't getting in.
