Cajun Chicken Burger *pic*
I had these for dinner last night and they turned out really well. I will however add more cajun seasoning next time because we like it spicy in my household.
1/4 cup cooked or canned chickpeas (garbanzo beans),drained and mashed
1 beaten egg
2 tablespoons fine dry bread crumbs
1-1/2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning*
1 pound ground raw chicken ( i used 400 grams)
4 wholemeal buns
Lettuce leaves (optional)
Tomato slices (optional)
Chili sauce, taco sauce, or catsup (optional)
Mix everything together and form into 4 burgers
Each chicken burger without bun and extras came to 195 cal and 24g protein
** my whole plate including ketchup and light mayo came to 459 cals **
