Yes, dong anything that requires you exerting force on an object will cause you to look like a she-hulk, and ultimately, unattractive. Avoid all work besides cardiovascular exercise.

I'm pretty sure this is a parody thread from the thread about shoving snow for cardio yesterday

    Nope, wrong parody. :flowerforyou:

    BTW: Was yesterday's thread funny???

TIP: The more you shiver, the more calories you will burn. Try shoveling in your unmentionables.

You guys are HILARIOUS!! I just got my first snow fall for the season today. On my way out to shovel now, I will take some of your good advice in hand! (Like the little shovel perhaps!) LOL

Just make sure you use a "Barbie" shovel - no worries about bulking, lol!
  • Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow!

Don't shovel snow constantly or consistently though, I read a study recently about how the cold air combined with quick jerky movements (shoveling snow) drastically increases the chance for a heart attack

You do realize that snow is a 4 letter word! And should never be mentioned in mixed company!

I spent the last 5 minutes laughing. How many calories do you think I have burned? How should I log this? And did I spot reduce my behind?

does your behind move when you laugh?

just use one of those little bitty kiddy shovels.... that way you aren't lifting as much and it's more like cardio cause it'll take you 4 times as long to shovel

THIS is too funny, this entire THREAD is making me LOL!!!

Snow, sand. Both are fine, but you lose the shiver factor if it isn't cold out.

See my HRM hanging around my neck? That's how I track my shiver-driven calorie burn.

If you're shoveling sand, you can also pound it, if you like. Makes for a great workout.

I overheard my coworker say that her hair dresser got all bulked up from too much snow shoveling and now she looks like She-Hulk. So I would be careful.

Taso I am disappointed to find you are not the one who started this post! I sure hope it helps with bulk because we have two really long sidewalks and that snow is heavy.

It's cold enough that if I shovel (or maybe just pound?) sand in that outfit, I'll be shivering.

You may want to wear a tank top if you decide not to wear the "outfit" shown in a previous post. I shoveled horse *kitten* this morning and my biceps are sooo huge they tore through my long-sleeved shirt. So yes, shoveling "anything" be it horse *kitten*, bull *kitten*, snow.....your gonna bulk up!:flowerforyou:
