drink more water and eat foods high in fiber and water and that should help (as long as you aren't already drinking a gallon of water a day and consuming 30 grams of fiber...if you are already doing that then try eating smaller meals more often rather than large meals spaced out).0

Mick, I am having the same problem. I have to follow a diabetic diet and it allows me 1800 calories a day, so i changed my weight loss goal to 1/2 lb. a week also. My biggest problem is that I am ALWAYS hungry! I drink about 60-80 ounces of water every day with 2 teaspoons of Benefiber in my water bottles. (My water bottles are 20 ounces each) I thought that would help, but my appetitie is always raging. I don't know what else to do. My endomologist says I have metabolic syndrome and that the only way for me to lose weight is to have gastric bypass surgery. But I am not going there, and he still wants me to lose weight. It is a daily struggle, as you know. The research doctors can find cures for many ailments......why can't they find a cure for us!? Sorry i really couldn't answer your question, but if felt good to get this off my chest.0

I agree, (with biologic) focus on eating good foods, high in fibre, control your sugar levels. Perhaps you need to eat little and often if you feel you want to eat all the time.
Maybe do this for a week, don't beat yourself up if you go over your calories but once you find a way to eat that is comfortable start to pull back calories but continue with the right foods.
The other chain of thought is you are not hungry but believe you are, certain foods appeal to you so you are still 'hungry'. Like knowing we should have say steak and green vegetables but not the double qtr pounder cheeseburger and fries and all of a sudden we have never been hungrier in our lives! Try keeping a diary or note of the emotions you go through when you are hungry and see if ironing out bad habits helps.
For me I drink a glass of pepsi max after my final meal if I start obsessing about food especially desserts. Pepsi max is sweet but only 1cal for a 600ml bottle.
Short answer, trial and error there is no quick fix. You have to find what is right for you.0 -
Visit a Health and Vitamin Store. They have lots of options to consider if you trying to suppress appetite. I'm not saying they are healthy since I have not researched it; but, neither is being obese. So, if you have to take a little something to get you thru the hump. It's what you have to do, right?0
