    I have perfected the drinking of wine and eating of chocolate things, however, it can't hurt to brush up on those skills.

    It totally isn't. I've learned to expect pretty much nothing. I have had more disappointing Valentine's Days than I can count. So...I do something nice for myself.

    lol. Really?? How does one prepare for Valentines day? Make a list of crap your SO must buy you or you wont feel validated or loved enough? I sense some va/pejazzling might be necessary too.

    and again, there shall be no valentines for me, because I think the whole idea of having a day of telling the ones you love that you love them is utter BS. I can be nice any day...

    I don't celebrate Valentine's day; I found out that my ex-husband was cheating on me on Feb. 14 one year when his mistress showed up AT OUR HOUSE with a bottle of wine. Needless to say, neither one of them got the romantic rendezvous they were hoping for.

    IMO, it's a Hallmark holiday that only serves to make those of us who don't have a significant other in our lives feel inadequate.
