i'm pretty boring because i eat it the same everyday: cooked with half water/half skim milk, 1 T flax seed, 1 T flaxmeal, and cinnamon. I just ordered the PB2 peanut butter and will add that when it arrives.0

I LOVE one tablespoon of peanut butter and one teaspoon of brown sugar in my oatmeal.
Things I want to try (thank you Womens Health Magazine):
Maple Bacon-2 slices of cooked bacon (crumbled) and two tablespoons of maple syrup
Strawberries and Cream-1/4 cup Greek yogurt, one tablespoon of honey, and sliced strawberries
If you go to the website they have more delicious ideas0 -
Almond Joy Oatmeal:
Unsweetened toasted coconut, unsalted almond slices/slivers, hersheys unsweetened cocoa, and a splenda if you find it not sweet enough, (or sweetner of yoyur choice)
SOOOOOOOOOOO Good.0 -
I love vanilla protein powder and blueberries in mine. I also put splenda in it. Or I will put banana, brown sugar splenda and cinnamon....along with the protein powder. I have to have protein at every meal, so when I want oatmeal, I add the powder and it does make it very tasty!! Sometimes I add Fiber One cereal to it too....gives you extra fiber to make my blood sugar not drop.0

Try Baked Oatmeal, I found a great recipe for it on Skinnytaste.com with bananas, nuts, and blueberries for about 200 cals. But I also make a version of it with bananas and strawberries that I love that is only 175 and soooo delicious! You can try the skinny taste recipe and change it how ever you like, adding different nuts and fruits and I think it would be delicious! :-)
Like apple cinnamon, strawberries banana, cranberries and blueberries, etc. There's sooo many combinations you can try!
Here's the link to the recipe:

Looks amazing!!!!! Thanks for the link!0 -
If I have plain or steel cut oatmeal, I add 2 teaspoons of raisins, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and several drops of either vanilla or orange extract. If that isn't sweet enough, I also sometimes add Stevia.0

oatmeal with brown sugar, raisins & cinnamon ! Yummy!0

I add a tsp. of stevia, 1 tsp. of brown sugar, and cinnamon, a 1/4 cup of raisins, and a whole apple cubed. It's pretty filling!0

I eat Quaker Weight Control in several favors. I add raw cinnamon and raw fruit like blueberries or cut apple sometimes but mostly plain. Boredom is listening to the voices in my head which for today I choose not to do0

Lots of wicked ideas. I'm going to be trying them. I've been eating them plain for a looooong time lol x0

I add frozen blueberries and a tablespoon of toasted, sliced almonds and sometimes cinnamon. I also buy plain oatmeal because the instant varieties have too many calories and its overprocessed. You can eat twice the oatmeal for the same calories and you get more fiber (and stay full longer) if you make it from scratch. I use 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon of nuts and up to 1/4 cup fruit. Oh and I sweeten it with Splenda instead of sugar. Microwave for 1 minute 40 seconds. That makes a big bowl of oatmeal. You can do the same with 1/4 cup oatmeal if you want to eat less.0

I have most mornings for breakfast. I make mine with 1/3 cup dry oats, 2 tbsp wheat germ, 1/3 - 1/2 cup of chopped apple, 25g of raisins, about a 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and 2/3 cup of milk (I either use coconut milk or 1% if I'm out of coconut). I microwave it for 2 min 20 sec and let it sit for about 10 min afterwards to cool down and thicken up. I love my oatmeal really chunky and I don't add any sugar as I find it is sweet enough from the apples and raisins.
I have also made it with mashed banana or chopped pear instead of apple.
I definitely want to try it with peanut butter or Nutella. That chai oatmeal that a previous poster mentioned sounds yummy!0 -
Flaxseed Meal. Add 2 tbs to your bowl of oats, for a nice nutty flavor and great Omega-3 essential fatty acids. If you are trying to improve your cholesterol with the oats, this helps too.
Cinnamon.
Raisins.
Beaten Egg White. While the oats are cooking, beat one egg white really well. If you can get it to turn white and foamy, that is perfect. Then, stir this into the oats right before you take them off the heat. Get your good lean protein with your oats.0 -
Splenda, cinnamon, and diced apples!0

I eat oatmeal everyday whether it is for breakfast or lunch. Lately I've been topping it with non fat greek yogurt, berries and sliced almonds... yummy!0

I cook steel-cut oatmeal on Sunday for the entire week... I just heat and eat I never have to think about what to eat and as such I am never tempted to eat BREAD... my biggest vice.
This weeks oatmeal was cooked with an apple (cubed), six dates, vanilla and cinnamon... it was yummy!
Keep those recipes coming... I love changing up my oats
I need to try this! I usually do old fashioned oats, but have a bunch of steel cut that I haven't put to use yet.0 -
I usually just do maple syrup and cinnamon. I've read some stuff about adding whey protein power to make flavored oatmeal, but, I've yet to try it.0

I eat cream of wheat (which is very similar) and its not very good without something. I usually try to eat fruit with it, but most of the time I put a dash of Stevia in it. Stevia is a bit costly, but totally worth it if you can't stay away from the sweets.0
