Good Morning all!!!
Hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend. How's everyone doing with water? Should we do another water challenge? Or is someone having troubles with something else? Holler somebody!
Just like Livi says, "falling isn't a failure, staying down is."

A water challenge sounds good to me! I drink WAY too much diet soda... :grumble:
Good luck Jess!
My goal is to be in awesome shape before my wonderful boyfriend comes out to visit me July 4th weekend - keep your fingers crossed and kick my butt every now and then, hehe. :laugh:0 -
Lost 2 more pounds this week, bringing me out of the 190's and officially putting more in my 'weight lost' than my 'weight to go'
Yay! :flowerforyou:
A water challenge sounds good to me, too. For some reason I've really been craving diet soda recently, and have given in way too much the past couple weeks.0 -

Christine -- you'll do great, you always do, don't stress.
Ari -- I'm not going to yell at you! Besides, I slack off on eating during the summer a bit too. Just cuz I begin to hate cooking big meals. Too hot!
Livi -- I like the new pic! I need to take a new one....
Good job everyone on the pounds down. I'm still yo-yoing between 178 and 175 (175 puts me at my weight ticker), but I AF is leaving so hopefully this week (with my new toy jogging) that will change. Speaking of jogging, hehe, I did 2 warm up sets (couch 2 5K) and then was able to jog for 15 minutes straight! So excited:bigsmile:0 -
Hey Momma, can we do a sleep challenge next week? I seem to NEVER be able to get enough, and I know it's neccessary to shape up properly!0

Hello Everyone! Sorry that I've been in MIA - but my niece had her body cast removed yesterday, and I made the trip to the doctor with her and my SIL, so I was away from the computer all day. Thankfully my niece is doing great, and running around like a hooligan!!!
I maintained my weight this week, which following the Memorial Day weekend is fine by me. I think another water challenge would be wonderful!0 -
gmorning everyone im a bit chilly but on cloud nine0

kace i know its just too hot i usually have alot of cold stuff - salad tuna other fish but now smoothies also yummy i had one for breakfast.im in smoothie heaven 2 nights in a row i made a fruit smoothie for dinner so good and getting my fruit in and milk for calcium and protein
ari - will u post what you're making?? i looove smoothies but want more ideas! thanks!
absolutelty. unfortunetly we dont have many fruit in the house this week cause my whole family loves fruit and it seems to disappear very fast so heres wat i made.
ingredients:
fresh frozen strawberries - 7 small (less if u dont like over powering tast of strawberries)
can of dole 100% chunk pineapple - 7 (i have a thing about odd number i know weird but wat can i say)
and this time i added frozen lemon sorbet 2 tbsp (the last 2 times i didnt add this and this morning i can taste the lime not too bad but i like lemon)
1/4 cup milk
3-5 equal (or none it doesnt really need it at all)
ice optional (if ur not using any frozen ingredients put about 3 ice cubes but because i had the frozen fruit i didnt need it)
oh and if you dont have it you must get the cuisanart hand blender i used it instead of the blender total making and clean up time 7 minutes and it makes the smoothie professional like (make sense lol)
in the cup put 3 strawberries and the milk to start with blend a bit till not chunky then add the rest of the strawberries and blend then add the pineapple equal now i use the hand blender so i move it up and down for 45 seconds making sure the strawberries are completly broken down and the smoothie is well smooth. if u need and a little more milk so its not like sorbet but like a smoothie.
i have so many great combos u can try let me know if anyone wants more (tropical fruit and mangos anyone???)0 -
Hello Ladies!
Sorry I have been MIA... I caught Pneumonia  Today I am finally back on track. I went for a run this morning and although it was really hard since my lung capacity sucks, I feel really good now that I worked out.
I missed you all and am so Happy to be back :flowerforyou:
Keep up all the good work :drinker:0 -
Hi guys. I could really use some love- I have been up/down/up/down and just hovering at 30 lbs lost. I definitely!! have about 30 more to go, but I am slipping into complacency. I keep looking forward to the summer break (5 school days left!) and telling myself I'll exercise then, but I DO need someone to kick me into gear- anybody wanna be my drill sergeant?
I haven't exercised in a month. maybe longer. :frown: I ate and drank like a fiend on Mem. Day weekend. it was gross.0 -
OOO ooo ME me ! Lucky I am just coming off of a 2 wk hiatus as well. I am terrified to get on the scale because I lost weight do to being sick and then on sun and mon I drank a ton :blushing:
To get back into I started slow today Ran 20 min and walked 10 min. So now its your turn, today sometime get in a short run. I know you are a pretty seasoned runner so 20 min shouldnt be too bad. Dont think about it, just put on your clothes and start and by the time it's over you will feel so much better0 -
OK it's a deal. I will go out and run 20 minutes when I get home tonight.
Thanks!!
will report back later to say I did it:bigsmile:0 -
Sorry I have been MIA... I finished taking my antibiotics, and then broke out in hives!!! I don't know if the "old regulars" remember, but my daughter had a really bad reaction a few months ago... I guess it was my turn! I've been itching like crazy, and am covered with calamine lotion...
I didn't lose anything, but had a feeling it was going to be that way. I'm going to really be pushing myself hard beginning with next week-May has been my hardest with the diet aspect of losing weight! My husband is going out of town for a week, and so it'll be the perfect time for me to really put my nose to the grindstone...0 -
Resa Im so happy you are back! I too have put my nose to the grindstone starting today :drinker: Im sorry you are so itchy  But at least you maintained!
Feel better :flowerforyou:0 -
Hello I'm new here. I've been on my weight lose journey since the 1st week of thei month.By the 9th I joined a gym and finally weighed378 pounds. I have SO much to lose still. But since the 9th with my food plan and exercising 6 days a week I have lost 12 pounds. I got brave enough to try on the pants to my TaeKwonDo uniform that I could barely get scooched up, but not able to breathe in. But tonight after class I was able to get them on easier and even breathe in them. I still have work to do to fit in them right. But I am happy I am progressing. Anyway I saw the name of this thread and just had to jump in. It struck a cord with me and my pants.
So Hi eveyone, I hope you don't mind me jumping in on you all.0 -
Welcome! We're glad to have you here! :happy:0

Bump - where are my sisters??0

Morning ladies! Hope everyone is having a wonderful wkend and is keeping up their water and exercising :drinker:
Im off to go for a run and going to do the 30 day shred today, yesterday was not a good day eating wise for me, so Im trying to get back on track today0 -
Well my competition at work is not over yet...Thank goodness! I went to the beach about two weeks ago and gained about 5 lbs down there. I have lost about 3 of them since I have been back, but still not down to where I started at! The contest ends at the end of june so i still have one more month! The wife is doing good...she is 6 mos pregnant now and due at the beginning of Sept., we are having a little girl. I couldn't remember if I had told all of you yet. I haven't worked out in about a month and a half now. with the move and all that I have done nothing but come home and work at the new house, since I am the only one that can lift anything I have been having to do quite a bit more. But it's all worth it! I am setting my start date for sunday as my day to get back in the saddle! I am starting P90x all the way back over from square 1 and it's gonna be more focused this time around. Don't get me wrong I was glad to lose 30 lbs off of it, but I want to start getting cut up! LOL! What are the stipulations for the water challenge? I'm game. Are we still doing weigh ins on tuesdays? I'm a little out of the loop!0

Thanks for the welcome. I was hoping nobody would mind me just hopping in. I went to the gym yesterday and found out I lost anther 4 pounds. Last night I had a big craving for one of my favorite meals. But it was after I had all I was planning to eat for the day. Usually when I crave it is for junk. But this was for a baked sweet potato and 1/2 c fat free cottage cheese. So I went ahead and ate it because I figured my body was really wanting something that was in there for me no want it so badly. I have so far been on the right track listening to it when it wants healthy stuff like that. During this quest to get into my box of saved jeans that has been waiting in the bottom of my closet for over a decade for me to get back in them, I have really been trying to listen when my body wants the good and so far lucky it has not been to bad about the junk. Usually I crave the junk and end up cheating. Then I get feeling very bad because I try to move around with not anything good fuelwise in my tank. But this time I am doing my class 2 days a week and the gym 4 days leaving 1 day to rest. But this past week I had the urge to walk a mile track on that day so I dragged out my son and we walked. It was the wrong time of day to walk outside with the Summer here but for once I was not ready to pass out from the heat I'm not used to.
Hopetobeinshape have fun with your run.0 -
Mister! We are so glad your back  Water challenge is too make sure that you get in all 8 glasses of 8 ounces. We are doing challenges each wk to give ourselves an extra push. And our weigh ins are still on Tuesday :drinker:
TKDmama good job with the giving in to healthy food instead of junk food, it is a huge step in the right direction. And congrats on another four pounds!0
